Does the GOG version work with FAF?

I assume not, because FAF currently enforces linking your FAF account to your Steam account to verify you really bought the game.

For the retail (DVD) SC versions you are able to redeem the CD keys on Steam and get the Steam version.

Technically the GOG version would work.
