Dual monitor trouble

When I used to play this game as a kid my dad had dual monitors and I really got used to having a giant mini map.

For the life of me i cant get it to work on my laptop. It has a GTX 1060 and I7 and can take the heat. This laptop is running windows 10. I have the second monitor going out a mini displayport, through a converter to VGA and into the second monitor. When i turn the dual screen mode my laptops screen gets downscaled to the smallest resolution and the second monitor does nothing.

I looked at others threads and couldn't find anything that can help me. How do i get it to work?

Maybe the VGA adapter messes it up. Try to connect your DP via adapter -> HDMI to e. g. a tv screen to test this.

For whatever reason, Win10 seems to disable the dual monitor feature of the game.

Try instal faforever client if you still dont have, there are people that can help you.

Nope that was an early bug that was resolved, it can dual screen fine now.....well in that its not windows 10 directly causing the issue anymore, not to say its a bug in some windows 10 driver on the laptop, but not the os itself.
