Trying to Install the LOUD Ai when

[.didntnoagoodname. *No Monitor*]

Windows cannot find C:\Blah blah blah ... Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\SCFA_updater.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.
What do i do to fix this?

Mine is failing on install (my Steam install is outside of Program Files), the log is listed below. My Antimalware didn't react to or quarantine anything. Tries running as administrator and without.

After this, a broken loader opens and prompts me to update. It claims to access the FTP server but then fails to download any updates. No indication in firewall and antimalware logs, of interference. Please advise?

Hi CAV - see the line where it says 'Error setting file attributes in game directory structure' - this tells me that something in your folder is set to 'read only' which is why this fails. If you could come onto our Discord server we can help you directly.

From what I've been reading you are one of the creator's of this mod. I hope you can help me with my trouble's. What is happening to me is I've placed the file inside my
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
which I believe is the right spot, I do the "Run as admin"(for the "SCFA_Updater" Application) Once it opens(I've done the download) I click "run game". it goes black then "crashes" but then it gives me a error report which is:

Ok - looks as if it's having some trouble running the game from the launcher. First step - make sure your original game runs fine (thru Steam). If it does - that's good - all is well - have the launcher create desktop shortcuts for you. This will allow you to run the game directly with LOUD rather than from within the launcher.

If you come onto our Discord server, I can give you more immediate aid as I only check here every few hours (sometimes more than that).

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with this mod.

I've recently istalled this mod and when I start a matchmaking game with a friend of mine, I'm finding there is no UI when i click on an engineer. The base game (when I switch back to playing that) is still fine, and the engineers working properly.

This fault happens right from the start of a game. My commander's UI is working properly, so I can build power plants, factories, I can upgrade him etc... but as soon as I build an engineer and click on it, there is no "build" UI. I can see the UI down the bottom left, the panel with the icons to attack, capture, repair, reclaim etc is all there and these function just fine.
But the panel that is usually to the right of this, that goes across the bottom of the screen, to build structures is missing.

The other thing I noticed is that the engineers are making no sounds when I select them (they usually make a "revving" noise from memory) so this could be linked to the fact they aren't functioning correctly?

Things I've tried:
Running a skirmish without my friend.
Games with 3rd party mods
Games without 3rd party mods
Uninstalling Supcom FA, deleting any file associated with it on my PC,
Re-installing Supcom FA.
Un-installing LOUD, deleting all files from my PC to do with loud, re-downloading and installing LOUD.

My friend has no problems at all, so the next thing we're gonna try is to copy all his game files & LOUD onto a USB stick, and replace my game files with his.

Do you have any other ideas? Anything else I could try to fix this fault?

I've watched my friend play this mod, and seriously guys, GREAT work. I LOVE this mod. Hence my perseverance in getting it working!

Any help is hugely appreciated.

how did you go about uninstalling LOUD by the way? just deleting the files? im not seeing an uninstall option anywhere. trying to remove it myself.

Simply remove the LOUD folder - and delete the installer/launcher.

I've tried running the updater multiple times I've ran it as admin, I've made sure it can run through with my antivirus blocking it, about 15-20 other things im just super perplexed to get it to work.

Sounds like some issue with our FTP Server. I'll investigate. <Update> Our FTP server is responding normally - to me - at this point. The log you've shown here doesn't seem to be indicating any kind of AV or firewall issue - but either a space issue or one of rights. I know this might be a simple question - but - are you running the launcher as Admin ?
