Those with bags over the colour pink in the game are wasting their time, it is not a issue.
I mean... I'm more curious than anything if there was an in game reason for it. Regardless I'm not buying the game.
I'm not quite certain if this answers my question completely or not... So the superbloom made a bunch of... Pink flower appear? But what about all the pink on the walls of buildings and what not... Is there a gang roaming the game world with a fascination of pink?
People were complaining how the map will be a reskin but in reality it is not only if they will just play the game
As for the color pink the cover arts and SS does show pink color and the menus too but it is not as bad as people are saying , listen to someone who played like 10Hrs of the game
There are lots of places where pink color is not used
Mainly bright colors have been used , Pink , Yellow , some orange type-ish
All plants colors which can grow commonly especially after 17yrs of no human interference
They came out 6yrs after the apocalypse though
There's a .... well, to avoid too many spoilers, I'll say "a very important and unique tree" you find near the end of the main story. At least I think it's near the end, I've just hit that point myself ... :)
It's not like everything is plastered in pink, though. There are fields of yellow and white flowers, as well as the pink ones.
Most of the pink you see is paint on buildings and such, put there by the Highwaymen who seem to delight in the intentional garishness of the paints they use (eyebleed shades of pink, red, blue, green, and yellow). A sort of visual middle-finger to the world around them. :)
And for the player, all that bright paint serves as a handy "careful there might be Highwaymen 'round here" signpost effect.
From a simple worldbuilding standpoint, there isn't any other color readily available.
Indeed, back in the 1920s and earlier, pink was for boys, and blue for girls.
