Steam to Uplay?
I was told in another post that even though I bought New Dawn on steam, I would have to connect it to uplay.
I downloaded and installed uplay, now how do I connect them? Every search I've done online so far is for uplay to steam, and not the other way around.

It will connect to uplay when you press play on the game

What Jclar says. Like I said in the other thread, the cross-launcher integration is actually very well done. I actually go for months without even remembering I have Uplay on my computer. :steamhappy: (Don't tell Ubi that, though, hehehe!)

When you launch a Ubisoft game from Steam, you will be prompted to log in to a Uplay account, or create one if you have not already done so.

Ubi's official word on the topic:

So I just wait until the 15th? Because obviously steam won't let me play right now :P

When the game officially come out (not pre-load) press play button and you will be prompted to connect this game and STEAM account to your UPLAY account.

Yes.

We Steam plebes have to wait for 17:00 UTC (or, noon U.S. Eastern Standard Time) for the game to unlock. When it does, launch it in Steam, log in to UPlay, and bam, you're all set. :)

Aww, that sucks. I was hoping to play it for a few more hours before I had to leave the state for work. I'll be away for six days, so I was hoping to play a bit first. Oh, well. I need money to pay for internet, right?

game installs uplay automatically which saves alot of time, but having it downloaded instead saves the install process, once you hit play it will tell you to log in log in with said account you want it to be connected to and bam you got it right there, kinda stupid ubisoft forces you to use uplay even if you use steam drm

how game industry works? you mean every day a new launcher pops up and that's a good thing to adapt? it's more like being a simpleton.

1 platform, 1 game library, 1 friends list, Steam.
if others wanna divide it because they can't see Valve making progress then that's their problem and they can cry all they want.

i don't wanna get stuck in corporate wars, for us users the best thing is to have everything in one place cuz it's on the same platform ffs. when you're on the same platform then exclusivity means nothing, but we see some companies are so dirty and greedy and use that.

Ubi and EA dont force you to buy their games, and Ubi does not take much storage at all and takes like a few minuites to install and you wont have to worry about it again

im talking about epic(crap)store here.
Uplay forcing games to have that client besides Steam is fine, it's not too heavy for now so i can let it run. sometimes they make it 3 way. Steam + denuvo + uplay. LOL
but don't think just because you don't see something then it doesn't exist.
not all programs have a fancy UI.

Well if that's your stance then you've missed some great games. Blizzard has made some excellent stuff.

But what you should have said was you'll never buy a game on Steam, because when you by an Ubisoft game on Steam you're forced to launch it through Steam.

Ubi's game, Ubi's launcher. They're hardly the first company to do that, and I don't mind it as long as I can connect through Steam. What I DO mind is when they decide to go to exclusive marketplaces, like Epic.
