How do I get the resources on the roof of prosperity

There are resources on the roof of prosperity and I can't figure out how to get them. If i try landing on it with a helicopter or parachuting on to it I just get a cutscene of my character entering prosperity and get moved to the front gate.

you have to do missions to get a special perk (I wont spoil it) and it will make you able to get up to it

You got a mission near Prosperity that triggers this? Happened to me when I had business there, while I managed to aidrop over base, freefall directly down and break fall by leap of faith to get the achievement. No loading in the latter case so probably a conditional thing you have going now.

you have to do an air drop if you dont have the story perks unlocked

You have to do an fast travel air drop not just drop out of a chopper

Am playing through this game for the first time and found out it's also possible to get up to the roof from inside prosperity. Jump between the explosive lab and the main buidling. Use a combo of wingsuiting and opening your parachute as this gives you an altitude boost to make your way up the different levels. (You can start from the roof of the balcony on the main buidling if you use the railing to climb up to it.) Last jump I made was off of the highest level of the explosive lab, from the overhang to be able to wingsuit, and then I made it up to the roof!

I got up there using normal jump. Took " a while". Jumped up around the explosive lab and got on the roof kind of like leendert-93 described.

Just to say, this makes things so much easier overall, great to jump over enemies onto building roofs and makes just general jumping around bases/buildings so much fun etc. I kind of wish they would retrofit this ability in to vanilla fc5 (I know they wont) I can imagine it making that so much more fun too.

Using airdrop and trying to wingsuit in doesn't work. You just get the cutscene when you get close.

You have to use the double jump ability but then it's pretty easy. Just start in front of the main building near the weapons work bench and there are overhangs straight up all the way to the roof.
