Can't say I know how it compares to PS4, but I'll give the obvious suggestion of saving and reloading until you get it done.
I don't really want to do what you suggested but I've tried it multiple times now, just like in the video and I can't do it for the life of me.

You receive an item that powers up when you defeat enemies.
The counter increase after eating and drinking. Tea seems to increase the most, like 1000 per drink.
If you were talking about the prize for winning Toylets, I'm pretty sure the items were healing items and crappy weapons.
