Linux version launch issue
FYI: The Linux version won't launch from Steam, but it will launch if I open the executable manually.

Might wanna see to that ;)

Thanks, I'll look into it. What distro are you running?

Ubuntu 18.04.

I can't seem to reproduce this. I just installed Steam on a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 and the app launches just fine from within Steam.

It wont launch for me either, also Ubuntu.

Same here, as well. Also on Ubuntu here, too. As Liam, I also am able to run it directly from the executable, but running it from within Steam fails instantly for me.

Ubuntu 18.10, Nvidia card, xfce window manager, some KDE libs installed but not using it as a desktop env. I found these messages in $HOME/.steam/error.log
.steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: .steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.11' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Network.so.5) .steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: .steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5_PRIVATE_API' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Network.so.5) .steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: .steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Network.so.5)

Trying to run it from command-line instead of via steam's wrapper it dies with {si_signo=SIGILL, si_code=ILL_ILLOPN}. This is after procalc asks for some mmap, then calls mprotect on a dozen or more blocks in the mmap() block returned, then calls munmap() on the block, and the SIGILL has a si_addr inside the un-mapped block. It also goes looking for /sysfs/selinux and /selinux, then reads from /proc/filesystems, then reads four bytes from /dev/urandom

Game also won't start for me. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04.

Don't work on xubuntu 18.04 either.
But going to right directory and starting it directly works:

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin$ ./procalc

OK, I'll take another look at this.

Same on Arch. Removing or renaming the 'lib' directory allows for launching the app from steam client, because the problem is this (from the stdout):

/s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: /s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.13' not found (required by /usr/lib/libQt5Network.so.5)
/s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: /s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5_PRIVATE_API' not found (required by /usr/lib/libQt5Network.so.5)
/s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/procalc: /s/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pro Office Calculator/bin/../lib/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by /usr/lib/libQt5Network.so.5)

Same thing goes for me, on ArcoLinux (Arch based). Under the deepin desktop environnement.
To reassurate, It also works fine under Proton, and do work well when launching it manually or, via deleting the lib folder, as pb suggested.
