They ever going to fix this game?
I just got the game on Xbox after playing Elex 1 to the end, & I really enjoyed it.

Elex 2, on the other hand, while still enjoyable is running like shiznit. Performance mode, shadows glitch all over the place & Resolution mode crashes at random & still has major pop-in from a few feet away, especially inside the Morkon base.

So, are the devs still supporting Elex 2 or are updates dead & done? The game's only been out just over a year, so I can't imagine why they'd be done with it already. Especially since the game runs like horse crap on Series X, & I'm seeing several other complaints about bad performance on PC & Playstation as well.

... and existing topics, too. Right?

Exactly. Why start a new thread when the top thread on the forum deals with exactly the same suspect question? https://steamcommunity.com/app/900040/discussions/0/3821914572253973604/

Or when you can find several similar threads within the first two pages of the forum?

What's the harm in one more thread?

Anyways, I'm still playing the game on Xbox & had it crash 3x yesterday. It loves to crash after I try to open the menu for some reason, or specifically after I quick save, pick up a legendary or open/hack a chest. It also loves to crash after I fast travel, or skipping dialog, not sure why.

Usually it crashes after an hour or two of playing so maybe it's a memory leak or something.

I also checked the Elex official discord & yea, the devs aren't doing anything about it & their last Elex 2 update was a year ago which pretty much means they don't give a rats bunghole about it anymore. So I found my answer & it was a solid, "Nope, we ain't gonna fix it."

Which is a shame, cause it's a great RPG, even if it's kinda unfinished & missing areas from the first game, like the junk island somehow disappeared entirely & is now just a sand bar. I really enjoying how I can explore the same areas & find new stuff, like flying to the top of the converters or just hunting mutants for more elex to raise my stats. It would just be more enjoyable if it had better performance.

What for? To repeat what has been discussed before?

If everyone thinks like that, forums would become a mess. It's against most forums' rules and it's against Steam's general rule of not spamming.

Speaking of which, didn't you say you play on console? You know Steam = PC version, right? Don't tell me Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft don't have dedicated forums. So why post in a forum for a different version of the game? Every platform (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, ...) has its own issues, especially hardware-related issues.

We're a welcoming community for console players who have questions about the game itself, but complaints about the performance of the game on a console don't belong in this forum. I would never go to an Xbox forum complaining that the game doesn't work anymore after upgrading my Nvidia drivers. And if I did, I'm sure I would get much harsher replies than you got here.

It's kind of odd that you're complaining about me complaining in a forum where people are known to complain about the game, regardless of what platform I'm playing on. When a game has performance issues on PC chances are it's also gonna have performance issues on console, & sometimes vice versa.

Also, as far as I know there are no official Xbox forums for each individual game like Steam has so I often come back to steam to talk about games I'm playing with other people & I don't like using social media. If you seem to have an issue with me coming here as an Xbox user... Well, it sounds like a personal problem.

Yea, MS community answers thing is garbage.

So your technical issue with playing a game on Xbox becomes an issue to be solved by people playing it on PC? Again, if I'd go to a forum for Xbox or PlayStation complaining about a game not working on my PC, I'm sure I'd get a sh*tstorm of comments, a lot less understanding than me patiently trying to explain to you that a game that's not working on an Xbox has nothing to do with how that game runs on a PlayStation, let alone on a PC that can have thousands of hardware setups (unlike consoles). You're in the wrong place, that's all.

The game works fine on my PC. Not sure what you're talking about.

Can you list your specs?

I can vouch for this too. Playing it on max settings with 200% resolution upscale. Constant 30-40 frames on an RTX 3060. Extremely stable and no crashes.

OP is playing on Xbox. That was my point.

if you find 35 fps bearable on a modern 144 monitor you have never experienced fluid 80+ fps gameplay.

All dependant on tolerance levels, gaming history and experience. Careful with assumptions, cause they have a nasty habit of making a fool of someone.

You didn't really understand what I was saying. If you played f or 3rd ps games, with a sufficiently high fps on a modern monitor, you will know the difference and going back to low fps is really jarring. I mean I played since around 1990, but especially in the shooter/arpg genre, high fps makes for such a difference in gaming experience.
