Acid Flask Poison Rogue - Advice?
I'm not looking for a full build, but rather some advice. I have two Drought's Releases, and I wanted to make a poison build to take advantage of them.

Falconer has some great synergy with Acid Flask.

Decoy can replace small explosions with acid flasks that dont scale with the tree.

Explosive Trap can throw acid flasks, but can't convert to poison.

The Falconry tree can have it throw up to 5 acid flasks (with a 125% chance for a new charge whenever you directly throw a flask, so a guaranteed throw + 25% chance for two).

You can go all in on Poison Traps with Net converted to Poison and turned it into traps. With Acid Flask itself being a trap, but I don't recommend that.

Maybe add in Ballista and convert them to poison with Acid Flask.

Shift also can drop acid flasks on departure and arrival.

Lastly Smoke Bomb can Shred Poison Resist and apply Poison stacks too

Edit: a twist on a Fire/Poison Spec could use Cinder Strike as the primary attack, with Explosive Trap attaches on melee hit. Explosive Trap with a 100% chance to drop an extra trap on Detonation and always throws an acid flask with the new trap. Decoy as an extra for more flasks. Falconry as the last spec for the ability to mark enemies for more damage and throw acid flasks.

This has some fire from the Cinder Strike and Explosive Traps, but is mostly for spreading poison around with Acid Flasks. Instead of Cinder Strike you could use Puncture converted to poison ignoring the damage of Explosive Trap and just using it as a free Acid Flask deployed.

Edit 2: going the Puncture Route, you could drop explosive trap entirely for Smoke Bomb, and use the +2 flasks and poison pool node to give Acid Flask a 6s Cooldown (which means it's not your primary source of damage anymore, but let's you focus on Puncture in between the Cooldown) and since you're in melee range, smoke bomb would be perfect to keep you alive and spread more poison and poison res Shred.

acid flask is viable now but i wouldn't recommend it for poison. the passive points in acid flask tree are extremely inefficient especially for poison

in fact, i've tried tons and can't make a poison rogue build that feels good. poison just seems like its in a difficult spot, for rogue at least.

as for acid flask theres tons of options now but my fav skill is explosive trap and i feel like its the jack of all trades right now. use it to debuff enemies and spawn your acid traps and focus on its hit damage and you can do very well

I love this suggestion! I'm gonna give it a try.
I have tried to make acid flask work a couple different ways, Junk said it well, it's just super inefficient. If there was a node that increased the tick rate, or made poison damage apply immediately then it might be good, but I found the best so far is strong support damage in the acid pool node. Flask for the pools, puncture for poison shred and primary damage, then you're doing something more active, more engaging and the bonus damage from the acid pool becomes potent.
OP - any luck getting this build working?

I'd love to do an acid flask build too, but not having much success so far.. can't even keep pace with the campaign
