Why is this Gaming dying out?

the game has improved alot but how come no one plays it?

really want this game to do well so i can play with other people at the moment i cant not find 1 person to play this game with lol i started like 3 char but i quit mid game cuz its so boring solo

They're:

-in end-game (end of season) so not a lot of people low to mid levels
-playing Path of Exile 2
-on Christmas holiday (with family)
-playing something else

No updates in many months, that's why people quit.
Right now, of course, everyone is playing PoE2.

Well right now PoE2 is taking everybody atm.

But before that? I would say having to create a new character for every mastery you wanted to try out really killed it for me. I don't know if they still lock it, because I havent played for quite a while, but if you still cant respec into a different mastery, it will stay uninstalled for now.

i stopped very early in the game because i cant beat the bosses,playing now POE2
it is hard but no comparison to LE

Well, i quit some months ago because the RNG of the endgame was way too frustating for me. Like me, many others left because of the same reason. I don't recall what exactly, but to upgrade a item i had to do a very hard dungeon + Boss and that ♥♥♥♥ still had RNG . No way Jose.

Cause its a mid tier POE1 knockoff with devs who take 900 years to release updates and when they do just randomly drop features without any explanation... that's why

Over priced with the DLC tacit probably turns away a lot of people. game should be $10 or f2p.. 20% off is a slap in the face especially when the game is already a few years old and the player base is basically nothing.. a bit over 1000~ people playing it, that's bad and probably not encouraging the devs to push out free content. they seem stubborn and rather they try to boost the player count by offering a bigger discount. they either don't care, or are living in lala land and think everything is going great.

Why would anyone buy this for $30 when you can buy Path of exiles 2 for the same price, it gives you access to the game (which will be f2p later in 2025) and gives you some currency so you can buy cosmetics. it has a huge amount of content without DLC.

They rushed the 1.0 release, even the devs themselves accept that fact. Months before an update drop, and when they do, is very mediocre. They reset last "cycle" half way through it and players just quit.

They announced they are releasing the next update like in 6 months, LOL!. They saw PoE2 and most likely, are going to start from scratch whatever they had planned.

Game's price is ridiculously high for a still in E.A. game, this ain't no 1.0 game tbh. Like someone said, why would anyone buy this game, over PoE2, when you know GGG creates quality games?

And don't get me wrong, LE is really fun, but it lacks a LOT of features, and endgame content.

It's a pretty mediocre game at best, except the lootfilter which is nice and the free stash for extra QoL. it can be fun for a few playthroughs tho but not so much for a main game H&S arpg.

.. That's literally how ARPG's of said caliber operate in creating Seasons/Leagues/Cycles... Path of Exile 2, will go the same way over time when its late into a League of theirs.. Until the next one, then the flood of people come back.
