Online vs Offline?

Not complaining, but have tried a few times to play since launch without success - created a solo self found character, but every time I tried to play I either get kicked off the server when I hit Play, or it gets stuck on the loading screen and nothing happens for 5 minutes before I give up and force quit (was I supposed to wait btw? will it load into the eventually?)

My question is, is there any point in playing online if I'm wanting to play as a solo self found character? Are there season passes or seasonal events and mechanics in Last Epoch? And if so are those available in the offline mode as well?

right now offline char gets deleted for no reason.Fourth time now my lvl 25 chars got deleted after a patch so i say dont play offline at all for now

If you're playing SSF then online is completely pointless unless you want the cosmetics.

I've not had any offline characters get deleted.

Yes, cosmetics are online only, however as of now..

There is absolutely ZERO incentive to play online as solo self-found.

Because there is ZERO COSMETIC REWARDS for doing so.

There is no season journey or battlepass ala Diablo to unlock cosmetics.

There are no challenge rewards ala PoE league challenges to unlock cosmetics.

The only benefit of online as of this cycle/season is... LADDER, TRADING and CO-OP with friends.

Which is pointless to a self-found solo player.

Unless you want to buy cosmetic from the store and look at your own cosmetic items while solo.


In offline, there are even more benefits.
1) You can pause the game anytime
2) You can still use the global chat while playing offline
3) You can use abilities in town to get around faster
