Please remove skill specialization.
At least for during campaign. Save the levels for the skills. When you try new skills you get heavily penalized for no reason.

Maybe just have it cost exp? Could give negative exp if you freshly leveled. Rather that than having to grind it up again if I wanna change things up to test things out. Better flow and fluidly in gameplay.

What I am doing is giving people back what they are laying onto others. It's a way to correct anti-social behavior, not just me being a random ♥♥♥♥. Stop being obtuse. I know who I am.

How does calling people "mooseknuckles" correct antisocial behavior?

I'm obtuse lmao?

:toilet:

Not wasting my time on this conversation anymore. Treat people better.

I'm not the one randomly insulting people though?

So again, hold up a mirror.

You don't know what to say to defend yourself so you just run off which is pretty typical.

Peace.

If by destroyed yourself, you mean run a few older maps.. That is literally all it takes to re-level a skill.

OK. And you feel like losing 30-60 minutes to respec is a reasonable ask?

Yes, completely changing your build should take a little work. Although it can be done far faster then that. It took me 30 minutes and I was a noob who learned alot on streamlining it.

More like 10 minutes and yes, it is reasonable.

This game is the middle ground between PoE and Diablo and the skill system reflects that. Not as punishing as PoE but more in-depth than Diablo.

I play the game, too. It is not a 10 minute process to regain lost progress in the early game. Maybe that's the case at L80, but it definitely isn't at level 15.

I mean getting to level 15 is easy and there isn't much you aren't breaking yourself at level 15. You only have 2 skills even specialized and you can clear story with no points in the skills at all.
If you are interested in why they did it, just read through https://steamcommunity.com/app/899770/discussions/0/4338725867377300996/
It's the exact same topic.
You guys admit it's easy to regain it so it's just a random inconvenience that should be done away with.

I swapped my skills all the way through to level 60 every 5 or so levels and never had an issue. Even trying new skills in Monolith is fine. They increase the base points more and more as you level and you get XP boost to catch up.

Only try out 1 new skill at a time rather than swapping multiple.

Personally I like it the way it is as it makes me think a llittle and go over the skills in more details.

If they remove the "penalty" people will next want to have the ability to store multiple specs and swap on a button press, which would be terrible.

Lol been play since 2019. U should have been there before they changed how respec works vs how it does now.

Yes it actually is a 10 minute process even at low lvl it really doesn't take that long

Heavily penalized? It doesn't take long to get your skill points back. There's no penalty, it just forces you to use the skill at base or near base level so that you get a better idea of what it is before all the changes you make to it.

It's actually a really good system.

Don't think u understand why the respecing is the way it is.

It's there to stop u from swapping skills on the fly like u can do in diablo 3.

This makes it so u can't just swap skill on the fly to deal with a boss or swapping to clear skills on the fly.

When u can swap on the fly u don't have a build u have everything.
I'm so glad I don't have to buy dozens of Regret Orbs to respec.
I think the exp multiplier needs to be increased significantly after a respec. As it currently stands I'm getting a point on average once per 1.5 game levels. This means I am over levelling the zone which I'm not entirely happy with

This is a terrible suggestion. Having more build decisions to make during the campaign makes the campaign more fun.

The better solution to your problem would be to make respeccing easier during the campaign. Either by raising the minimum level, increasing the XP coefficient, or both. That way you can easily experiment with different skills as you're leveling.
Please add Weenie Hut Jr mode for people that need a guide to do anything in the game and cannot think for themselves.

We already established that its super duper easy to change skills. Why do you wanna waste 5 mins on doing arbitrary stuff when you could be having fun?
