whats the cons of offline ?

Not being able to use microtransactions is literally the only downside of playing offline, so I guess you're out of luck. Other than that no you won't miss anything unless you want to play with friends or trade items but why would anyone do that in a arpg lol.

There are no cosmetics in offline mode and you dont have access to leaderboards. There is nothing else in cycle 1 that you will miss if you plan on playing solo.

IDK, I was playing offline yesterday and had full access to chat.

And offline you can edit and cheat all the way to level 100 which you dont need to play the game at all.

That's semi offline. Chat is on a different server from the game. You can force true offline through steam.

I've not looked to much into this game. So perhaps I am mistaken. To me It seems like the only thing of value lost by offline is potential trade opportunities/active friends.

Cosmetics are pointless, and the Leader board will only really apply to the top 1% of the no lifers

Not having access to mucro transactions seems like a positive to me.

Don't use the cloud. Two of my characters are missing due to a bug caused by the Steam cloud. It's safer to turn off the cloud on Steam.

Directly from their Forums:

Feature differences in Full Offline mode:

-Bug Report and Support Ticket buttons are removed
-Chat item linking is disabled, though chat window can still be viewed
-Region Selection dropdown shows as unavailable
-Online character tab is hidden
-Cannot return to the Landing Zone page after selecting Play Offline
-A full restart of application is required to change between Full Offline and Online modes

And no cosmetics, no Leaderboards and no Trading Faction of course.
