Suggestion: A way to target specific shards
Crafting our gear is one of the biggest points of end game profession from what I've noticed, painstakingly crafting the perfect piece of gear for our build is an amazing idea rather than just hoping for drops however there seems to be no way to target specific shards that we might need.

Instead we have to rely on the rune of shatter to destroy pieces of gear to give us shards we -might- need and I'd suggest instead a way to target shards we might need. I'm not going to suggest a merchant that would sell us the shards but instead a new rune type that targets either suffixes or affixes; that way if I need say attack speed shards, which is a prefix, I can target just prefixes. It gives levels of control over shattering which I think would help a lot. Its still RNG but instead of a 1/4 change of getting what we need its now guarenteed or a 50/50.

Rune of Removal, it targets a random affix, but doesn't destroy the item, so you can use four of these to guarantee you always get shards from the affix you want.

** assuming the item has enough forge potential and/or you use glyph of hope and get lucky with 0 fp usage upon removal.

Ive thought about doing this too but the damn RNG wiped the stat i wanted first try and never again.

The more I farm endgame the less this is an issue im getting to the point where upgrades are getting far enough apart that ill have more than enough shards shattering with RNG.

I have my filter set to highlight the stats i want to shatter which helps too.

It was the same for me.
I started running Empowered Monoliths two days ago, and today I already removed most non-chase affixes from my loot filter, because I already have hundreds of shards :)

Easy enough to use the loot filter on the specific affixes you want, then just shatter/remove them.

For me its the specific skill related shards that im farming for, and i think i have enough to upgrade a full set and id never be able to actually get a set.

There was a brief period of time where i felt i was out of most shard types i needed.
