LP means nothing to me. :( edit: I can't "get good" because when I die to her, game crashes and it takes way too long to load up again, go through the dungeon...did it 6-7 times and gave up. (it was tier 1, feel free to laugh :D She does die from dot but after I am already dead)
Are you using the time travel button to dodge her big one-shot spell?
I have completed the dungeon before with my Paladin, which was a lot more doable because of the higher survivability of that build.
Lagon is the best example.
All you gotta do is use your movement ability and dash trough/jump over his laser so it wont kill you. Do people do that ? No thes ask for help in chat or open topics abut how broken Lagon is.
I mean common guys learn the mechanics.
For myself, I don't like big one-hit kill attacks that you have to dodge. For example I played path of exile for a couple thousand hours but despite everything, and despite getting a character that was quite powerful, I was never able to beat bosses like searing exarch because the fireballs in the fireball phase were too hard to avoid. Eventually I just gave up on trying, and I'm feeling similar with Last Epoch, but after only about 20 hours. There are a lot of things Last Epoch does well, but locking the ability to progress or interact with game mechanics with one-attempt, very difficult bosses is one thing it does poorly.
I get you, Gilver. I really wouldn't mind it as much if we had more than one attempt. That way even if you died, you wouldn't lose all momentum by having to go through the entire dungeon again.
I don't think Lagon was difficult at all. All you need is proper gear and his abilities are relatively easy to dodge since there's a wind-up to them. Dungeon bosses though, their abilities are difficult to track, and if they brush you at all, your health just goes down instantly, even with proper gear.
I don't like those bosses, but I respect that you do!
That's pretty much the issue, the dungeon is too easy and boring, and the boss oneshots you. If you want to retry the boss with your acquired knowledge you have to run again thru the boring and easy dungeon.
i'll happily spend a key to retry only the boss and not the whole dungeon
because I don't want to have to run thru the whole dungeon again just to learn the boss mechanics. and that sucks. I would rather be able to discover the boss mechanics naturally, without having huge delay between retries.
and the LP nonsense at temporal sanctum is awful - even if I breeze thru on tier1 and steamroll the boss, it's still a huge waste of my time. and only 1 gamba per run? ugh..
I've just made a few Soulfire T4 runs yesterday. In the boss room I felt like I'm playing a bullet hell game since there is alot of stuff going on and basicly everything is able to 1hit my lvl 98 lich with ~1700hp, ~36% endurance threshold and 57% endurance.
I value my time a little more than that.
