Better way to farm specific uniques?

I'm looking for Bonclamor Barbute and according to online, its a common drop in The Black Sun monolith...but not specific to a boss. Aside from getting lucky and finding a unique helm echo, i dont know how else to farm it more efficiently... i've gone through the monolith 3 times which took a couple hours and i didnt see an echo node for a unique helm...am i just suppose to keep killing random mobs in this monolith and hope that i get lucky that it drops?

So each monolith has nodes for certain types of gear (so Black Sun would have helmets as a reward sometimes). They rarely show up until empowered monoliths, which unlock from clearing up to and including the level 90 monoliths at the top.

Otherwise, the helmet should drop anywhere, so if you're CoF faction then you could get it from any unique helmet prophecies, no matter where they are.

So being in CoF means the helm can drop even outside of Black Sun monolith?

the guy is just explaining to you how one of the CoF mechanics works

the timeline you're farming has -absolutely no bonuses- to finding helmets except for the fact that it has those echo nodes

Best way to farm it is.. join the MG and just buy it from the market. Otherwise you have to go to specific timelines that have special nodes for specific types of items. For example sword or helm.

Did you empower monoliths? In empowered monoliths those nodes show up a lot more often.

No im still new i just got to monoliths recently and not really even strong enough to get to the last monolith as of now. im just trying to farm gear so i can tackle the higher level monoliths.

also, ive been thinking of just switching to the merchant guild. seems way better than what ive been doing. i feel im jsut randomly killing mobs hoping it drops.

well dont disdain other good gear along the way. the barbute is pretty strong defensively but its mostly just a big lump of stats. its not really a required item to do empowered monos, its just nice to have to push higher

Definitely keep an eye out for prophecies, that's how I got my squirrel helmet that I've been desperately seeking. In case you didn't know, you can add lenses which are bought from the CoF merchant to make certain prophecy rewards appear more likely to appear (e. g. unique helmets).

Ok so the best way to farm it is going unlocking the empowered monoliths and farming the Black Sun timeline. When its empowered you get a lot more unique helm maps.

If you are CoF use your favor to get buy Unique helm drop prophecies. Also you can use Rune of Ascendance to upgrade blue , yellow and purple helms into unique ones. If you have unlocked the bonus which grants you a chance to not consume the rune of ascandance make sure the helmets you use to upgrade to unique mention that their use requirement has the COF rank whatever.

Essentially its

1- Empowered Black Sun Monolith Farming for unique helm nodes.
2- Buy yellow and unique helm prophecies. Use yellows as a base for Rune of Ascendance to get free procs.


If you are dying too much on monoliths try to get 75 on every resists and more hp instead of damage. Survival is more important so you can get your rewards even if you are clearing slowly.
