Don't want to ruin ur fun with LE.
But ur issues with D4 eternal mode. Is more than likely going to happen in legacy mode in LE as well. As well as offline mode
Balance passes are most likely going to be across the whole game not just cycle mode
As for cycle content we know the first few cycles probably the first yr all content will be available for all modes.
After that we don't know if cycle content will be available for other modes or if it's cycle play only then added to the core game when a new cycle starts
The current system is the same crap as it was before, just presented differently.
Everybody knows it at this point.
You're still relying on RNG and glyphs to hope that the forging potential of an item doesn't completely deplete in 2 rolls, 3 on exalted items.
Forging potential at 0 does the same thing as a fractured item : you can use the item for stats, but you can't roll on it anymore.
Same trash, different flavor or trash.
In terms of depth it is somewhere in the middle between the two, which is perfect for me.
It's not as overly complex to the point of tedium and frustration in needing to use 3rd party tools to play the game like modern Path Of Exile.
It's a very happy medium between the extremes, and plus, this game has many many unique takes on the genre. My favorite being the way crafting works, it is legitimately the best implementation of a crafting system in any game I've seen. Items dropped on the ground have actual value (unlike POE). This means that playing Solo Self Found is actually super viable in this game, they're going to add trade guilds or SSF guilds to boost whichever playstyle you enjoy. I personally hate trading and you don't need to treat this game like a second job in order to make deep meaningful progress.
When this game really takes off after 1.0 it'll make Diablo 4 or POE 2 look ♥♥♥♥♥ in comparison, I mean in my opinion it already does.
Oh and did I mention it's dirt cheap and also the devs will never implement Pay2Win or even Pay For Convenience (such as Stash tabs in POE) for real money? You have to actually play the game to gather gold in order to buy more tabs. You can only use real money to buy the game or purely cosmetic stuff.
The dev team are also all incredible people and veterans of the genre. But enough text just go and play it already you'll enjoy it.
The same people who basically said unless your using cheat engine they didn't care what was going on, blamed themselves for having had one of their cheaters showing hacks and how to work around game mechanics and punished said cheater by giving them their own in game item made. Quality team of dev's there, I will take Blizz with the ban hammer swinging as it should be.
Cosmetic's are absolute over priced garbage compared to either POE or D4.
It starts out fun but get's boring real fast, mono's are a mind numbing siege of boredom and that's a main part of the game.
The loot is a fun middle ground for a while before you get into crafting end game stuff but not as boring or awful and complex as chaosbane, wolcen ( for boring) POE for complex.
Character building and skills are again a nice middle ground and can be fun as the game is pretty easy and doesn't punish you for playing around or bad builds till your pushing late game and by then it's easy to redo skills and builds.
Really can't compare to D4 as it's open world mmo lite, plus it's blizz that would be like comparing COD or Battlefield to some one man indie fps it's never going to be in the same class or division.
I would say your better off with Grim Dawn, ( especially moded) POE, Titan's Quest, even Van Helsing series over this. I would put this above ChaosBane and Wolves of Midgar and a couple other indie arpg's but really this is a middle of the road arpg at best.
Lol what? Dunno about that cheater thing.
Also, imagine thinking what you just said makes them worse than Blizz. I kek'd.
I cant understand this trend of making coop aRPGs into competition. Sweet times of Diablo 2 and Titan Quest in offline/lan where you could use cheats/trainers as you wish and mod your character to the ground. Who cares if somebody cheats in game like this. Stupid seasonal resets and always online ruined half of the fun of this genre for me. The only games where cheating should matter and be punished by heavy perma bans are PvP games. I am probably just too old to understand modern gamers and their problems :D
For sure no chance to spend as much time like in PoE, but anyway its new game with some interesting designs.
