Can't find the Sniper Rifle Barrel in Arid Hills

I'm standing literally where the waypoint is, but there's no part to be seen. At all.
I've completed this quest before, but that was freaking years ago.

The waypoint tells you the general area. You need to actually look around for it. I can't remember where i found the barrel so i can't help ya there. All i know is that it's there somewhere.

it's on the ground near the bottom of the hill next to where the other pieces are and it's kinda hidden among a bunch of trash...hope i'm being accurate enough.

I found it now. LazyVegetable is right, the waypoint just roughly shows where each part is.

there are more of the same missions in the game...the one in the Dahl Headland is another tricky one..

Well, the good part about these fetch quests is that every part you need is in close proximity so you really don't need to walk all over the map to find it. Just tedious and lazy.

the thing is, sometimes ( very rarely ) the quest reward is an awesome weapon.

Meh, I sell them. I'm a level 28 Siren with 13 in 'shotgun proficiencies' who prefers either corrosive or electric effects.

There is no trash at the bottom of the hill where other pieces are and no you are not being accurate enough.

you're thinking of the Combat Rifle Mission. OP was refering to the Sniper Rifle Mission in Arid Hills.

okay remember that, a reveloer barrel is in the crashed car inside it i think, the gunner seat, just remember that for one of the missions.
