that enables repositioning Camera view to a selected unit, or City State, or Civilization with only a single click through display of readily visible icons along the left and right screen margins.
EUI also enables viewing the Promotions of each unit by mousing over it or selecting the unit icon at the left margin.
EUI is available from "Forums.CivFanatics.com" at
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/civ5-enhanced-user-interface.24303/
EUI is NOT in the Steam Workshop, most likely because of the method of installation.
EUI must be downloaded from CivFanatics &installed manually so it behaves like a DLC and will NOT disable Steam Achievements
I would also stay away from Community Patch as well, which shifted development recently, but is still pretty unstable as well and presents more bugs than it fixes (while breaking balance).
You can check the last pages of the topics for EUI and Community Patch to confirm the huge amount of issues both MODs have.
EUI - https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/enhanced-user-interface.512263/
Community Patch - https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/community-patch-how-to-install.528034/
If you still want EUI, I recommend the Legacy version.
I recommend:
IGE+ (not the one on Steam, is outdated), https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/ingame-editor.30070/
Unit Scaling and Formation which is a superior alternative to RED, also released recently, https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/unit-scaling-and-formation.30065/
Then you have Quick Turns on Steam Workshop, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=220250184
Besides that you can look for graphics mods (icons, religions, etc), those are all personal preference, and since they don't rely on scripts, are fine to use without making the game unstable.
There also some other MODs that can expand the game, also personal preference.
There's about 40+ in each to look through, and a lot of them work well together, I like to think they're a refined collection of compatible mods (all credit to creators)
The R.E.D. mod gives me a lot more immersion. Another good thing is if you only run that plus the mod mod, achievements still counts, since it does not alter any balance or mechanics, just the look of units. It does not give you any advnatages or make the game easier.
I hope you find that mod fun.
If you are interested in upgraded vanilla game, download LEKMOD and Lekmap.
It's actually MP mod, but it works just fine as SP (game is a bit of harder). It's regularly updated. It's installed like DLC not like mod, so it can't work with 99% of other mods.

For additional mod, use Enchanced UI legacy v1.28g - don't use later versions with Lekmod.
