You're right, I could just cheat my way to 100% like you.
Ramesses has a different bonus in that scenario and religion is disabled.
I have actually found a good start that could make it possible, but I'll have to tinker with that one. I've found El Dorado after 3 turns and got the 500 gold for a second settler. This allows me to get ahead in culture and actually get to 3 wonders.. the problem is that the AI can get ahead in points even with 2 wonders. this will definitely be hard
Blegh, there goes a 35% bonus, well still get that marble bonus and the policy, don't think i'm of much help other then that :P Good luck
I guarantee you won't be able to do it not even with guides maybe after 3 attempts.
Prince difficulty and the 5th difficulty are ideal the others are useless
Well, I'm trying to get to 100% and I've beaten Immortal on this one and Deity on several other scenarios. Aside from that, Emperor is the way to go for games without min-maxing every turn. Deity scenarios are more kind of a puzzle and this is fun for what it's worth. At least until you get tired of it.
I've come close in that playthrough. The problem was that you need the AI to balance the wonders and the hittites got 4.
Constructing the wonders isn't even the problem; the problem is getting to the requirements. You can build the oracle from the start and you unlock the others by getting to 600/1200 culture, 1500/3000 gold earned, 200/400 unit XP (not sure about the numbers) and 15/20 techs. and this is where the trouble starts
-the AI doesn't have to pay upkeep and starts with 2 cities so they have ~90-100 GPT after 30 turns. no chance here
-the AI gets bonus XP and ♥♥♥♥♥ out units like there's no tomorrow. 0 chance.
-the AI starts 4 techs ahead and there's no way you catch them that early. In normal games I overtake the AI in science in the renaissance or industrial era, not in the ancient era.
so you can basically just get the oracle and the culture wonders if you're lucky.
oh yes and the AI pulled shenanigans I haven't seen before. In the screenshot it's clear that Persia should have finished the wonder before, but first they got a production overflow, then stopped working on it altogether, then Greece somehow built it and won the game despite having less score, forcing me to get it myself. In the end I did it with 5 wonders on deity, which I really can't believe.
