Yes. Early game it's actually very useful while trying to acquire copper & tin to make bronze.

Fast attack and a fair amount of damage with low stam drain. Great for slicing up dwarves.

Sneak attack / backstab using middle mouse click is super effective tactic against many mobs

it's a very good early game weapon. Doesn't cost a lot to upgrade to level 3.
I dunno if it's particularly good, but I just love knifing things in this game. lol

The sneak/parry damage bonus is pretty good. So in combat with a shield it's surprisingly effective.
Unfortunately the secondary attack requires quite a bit of stamina compared to normal attack.
It just has low range, so you'll mostly hit one thing at a time.

seems to do well at breaking dwarves slow attack speed. Can stun+parry pretty effectively. Don't use it alone as a parry device, you will get damage bleed through. Basic gear, boars & blue eyes will still do 5-10hp damage with a successful block, on good hits. Try and pair with the round shield. And almost no movement penalty. Second attack can be difficult to time correctly, or when best to use it. It will leave you stamina drained and open to attack, like mentioned above.

Very good for chasing down deer if you fail to sneak them.

i love that at like 10-12(sneak), somewhere in the teens i suppose at most. You can actually with favorable wind, walk right up to them and push them around briefly.. ;p I find it funny.

Id like to see duel wielding for blades.

Make it a whole class of "weapon" or style.

The flint knife is actually my go-to when traversing the meadow and black forest biomes. Dispatches basically everything there without a movement debuff or much stamina use and I can fix it at level 1 workbenches quickly thrown into any castle or w/e I stop in along the way. The lunge attack, while fun enough to play with, isn't super useful IMHO, if anything it mostly gets you in trouble. Backstabbing is kinda meh too since getting behind someone means nothing, it's just for "surprise" attacks, which are a waste of time to attempt when you can snipe with bow for a much easier surprise with similar damage + having much more distance between you to get more bow shots in. All this said, a flint axe can fill a similar role with the adding bonus of being able to harvest trees, but since Greydwarfs drop wood anyway, I stick with the knife, even though the skill gain isn't useful.
