Anyone found a good use of the ooze bombs?
Just checking out if I am missing something. You start to get the ooze in the swamp, but the undead seems to be immune to it (poison). The next big enemies, the goblins, have too many hit point to be affected by these significantly.

Anyone found a good use of those?

Clearing pens of tamed lox?

I've been told they can be useful in the plains, but i've yet to get there and try for myself.

I stacked these in a chess on a top of a tower near the main gate of my base. I was all excited at the following "Skeleton surprise" to drop one on a group of skeleton ... to see they were immune :(

do they also take damage when dealing damage? :p

Aww... well, they aren't immune to the iron sledge. I love grouping them all in one spot and exploding the bones everywhere in a single smash.

Farming deer made easy. It also kills non-star greydwarfs, iirc. But the only time I ever pull them out is when I want to pre-season the deer meat with swamp flavor.

unlike Fulings like OP said, Lox actually do have an insane amount of hitpoints you're not gonna drain with the ooze bomb.

Oh I know. We hunt them regularly.
It's 'a use' . Probably not a 'good' one. I haven't tried since I tossed a few at some fulings and realized they were absolutely pointless.

... why would you think skeletons would be affected by poison?

It's currently one of the most useless additions and could be cut from the game without a lot of backlash. A bow does the same thing but with better damage and easier use.

That said, it doesn't mean they can't revise it or add new uses later. For example, I would like a crafting recipe that involves it and poison arrows to make an upgraded toxic arrow that explodes on impact for major poison damage.

I used one once when I accidentally aggro'd too many Fulings while clearing a village - was surprised at how effective it was - but then oddly never used another one ever again.

I kinda forget they're on my toolbar - gonna try to make an effort to use them more.

I haven´t used them even once and as it seems I didn´t miss anything. They are certainly not needed.

They are good for in the Plains when half a village is attacking you. Run circles around them and keep dropping bombs. Takes a good amount of them, but it works.

Pretty useless. They would be good in the crypts/swamp but everything is immune to poison.
Completely useless. Poison arrows is better.
