Let's get this out of the way
Is there anything removed from this version? We all know Sony has been jack wagons recently with regards to mature content so I'm sure plenty of fans want to know if any of that has affected the PC release.

PR rep, might as well get this out of the way early.

Oh gosh, i though i'd be the first here...

No. The PC is not affected. They'll block the intimacy mode on PS4 only.
I think I read somewhere XSEED wouldn't touch the PC release.

PS4 regugee here. Always bought SK games on PS4 but now with sony's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'm buying the rest on here now.

I started with this franchise on PC (and 3DS).

I only started buying the PS4 releases because of the extra physical goodies and the earlier release time.

With Sony pulling the crap that they did, this will be the first time I pass on the PS4 version entirely.

No, they already said the PC/Steam version will be uncensored. They said it multiple times (both XSEED and Marvelous EU) since the announcement of the changes for the PS4 version and the delay for both platforms

Ever since Sony set up HQ in california a couple of months back, anything that has to do with anime fanservice now on the PS4 and possibly 5 will be cut out or censored with those out of place lightbeams or underwears not present in VNs.

Expect more games like SK burst renewal to be censored on the PS and more games uncensored that was meant to be originally on PC.

If anything you should be worried that Steam decides this game exploits children and bans it along with the rest of the nonsense they've been pulling these last two months.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

What about ages? I heard ages were removed in some SK games (even Estival Versus?)

I'm willing to let them make that one consession.

When it's painfully clear that these are all high school girls, being able to see a number or not is rather irrelevant in my opinion.

Beyond that, XSEED has put in a lot of effort to make sure the localizations are as faithful to the original source as possible.

I'm willing to forgive the removal of a number on a profile screen since none of the other crazy visuals were affected.
And it's not like they tried altering the script to try to make them seem older than they are.
So really, not a big deal.
Try not to make it one.

They removed the ages in the English localizations to make the games more palatable towards western audiences, which is a common practice among straight up eroges featuring girls between the ages of 13 to 17. They're changed to 18 or older across the board when they're brought overseas. Essentially they're not just translating the language, they're translating cultural norms. Not too unlike 4kids thinking no one knew what a rice ball was and deciding to call them donuts.

Nah dont get me wrong, i have all Kaguras bought on my acc and i don't think it's a big deal. Just pointing out that some small thing is missing (well even with new steam policy its kinda hit or miss so i can see why it's missing). It's also same thing with Valkyrie Drive too (own it too).

Removed Multiplayer. because reasons. as well as over half of the cast (to be re-sold as DLC).
Probably not the answer you wanted, but there you go
Monterossa Dec 19, 2018 @ 10:58pm
For this game, yes, it's uncensored on Steam. But I don't think Steam is that much better than Sony in general. These young girls haters are working in every big company nowadays and we don't know when they're going to act up.

Another thing that's removed is the 'creative finishers' from EV, even though the stages are the same as that game...

The intimacy mode (the portion of the game that was censured on the PS4) is literally the first screenshot on the store page. Never fear. PC players still have their personal freedoms being respected and are not being prosecuted by a Japanese moral crusade triggered by the upcoming Olympics.
