So all that whining made me investigate the hacks...

... and it's laughable as hell.

I've been reading the sadly frequent hack-related threads where people fight over whether or not hacks do exist in this game and came across a few posts mentionning videos and forum threads proving their existence.

Yes, the hacks are there, there's no denying that. But...

Here are the thoughts I came up with, after going through hack pages and videos, on why this game won't die because of hacks and why most people are convinced that hacks are non-existent in this game or why their usage is super rare.

Aimbot sucks major fleshswords

A quick YouTube search led me to some paid hack and boy did my ribs went to outer space. While the aimbot does its job, it does it very poorly despite being advertised with "no recoil" and "no spread". It doesn't take into account the weapon angle and there's nothing they can do about it. So all that is left is the crosshair being centered on the target's head but if the hacker moves (and he has to if he doesn't want to die) and/or the target is moving fast, he's gonna spray the fields before actually having the right shooting angle by luck. It does align with the head at some point, but the time they waste, letting their cute little software chasing people's heads, is time skilled player can take advantage of to kill them. Just look for the video on YouTube, it's embarrassing.
It still is a bummer when they decide to camp the bushes in the fields and snipe you with an MP40 as they don't have to move, but seeing how most of the final showdowns are played like, being a sitting duck won't play in their favor. So good luck getting that chicken dinner, champ.

The most annoying hacks are paid

Yes, these types of hacks are paid. Better yet, it's not a one-time purchase, you have to pay for that garbage monthly. You have to be completely braindead to pay for a broken aimbot that's gonna get you killed in front of a skilled MG42. So not only are these hacks broken but they're also off-reach to the proletarians. And chances are, people who tried or will try them in the future will rage their asses off in no more than five games. That thins down the hacking playerbase a lot.

ESP isn't everything

Now that the aimbot is out of the way, all that's left is the ESP. They come free alone... but not only does the hacker presumably blows (you don't download hacks for nothing) which makes laying their hands on an AKM not much of a threat given that these hacks don't include aimbots, they can't just spawn items it seems. So good luck reaching for that tactical fridge three villages away with your lack of aim. Also it's not like you cannot use your own eyes to search a whole village (attics included) within five minutes. So thanks for the cute little drawings on-screen but the item ESP is completely useless.

Unlimited ammo

This one is free as well but I don't see anyone stupid enough to spray an automatic weapon forever. And then again [INSERT ALL PREVIOUS KEYPOINTS HERE].

In conclusion, just play as you would. I earn at average three victories a day (if not five) in solo mode, with my friends and with communicative random players and didn't notice anything fishy. If anything I mauled down a couple hackers from behind with my M30 and speed + stamina boost items as I usually do without knowing they were cheating (aimbotting is nothing if you can't use your ears). Or maybe people would do it for me in the middle of an epic three-squad fight at the other end of the map, who knows. Maybe you killed one without knowing either.
Either way, they're trash and you won't notice a thing if you play well. It's just a shame they can still give your position away with their player ESP or pick on casual gamers, but these people will disappear someday and be replaced with other idiots who will be discouraged of hacking too because of how bad the hacks actually are. Hacking in this game is not even worth it anyway given that there's no leaderboard or reward to unlock except for the boxer shorts lol.


tl;dr hacks are trash, just enjoy the game

Edit: Looking at this War Thunder devs official statement[forum.warthunder.com], infinite ammo might not be possible and just some ♥♥♥♥♥ shooting an infinite amount of bullets locally.

FACT IS: there are cheats for this game- undetected, so what else matters? What is the point of a discussion about working or not good working cheats.... wtf?!??!?!?!?

ANOTHER FACT: cheaters always catch me when I do not await them
-they look through walls, instant kill me with headshots and have more life energy than usual sos that I can not defeat them

some anomalies are only an issue of "lag", others look like true cheating

this is not the kind of playing I prefer
- all cheaters should be BANNED FROM STEAM even if they only try to hack, and even if it is
only a game in Alpha-state. This is the real world with real people getting pissed on....

To encourage people to not give a flying damn about hacks and keep playing instead of whining about it. Keep in mind this thread was open before the developers opted for an anti-cheat solution.

I never said they shouldn't be banned because of the poor quality of their hacks. It does make it hard on us on some occasions. See above.
