Any tips for Claire B on hardcore?
I can't seem to stay under the 2 hour mark. Saving isn't a problem, I think it's about getting the stuff that I really need. Should I skip the grenade launcher a machine gun, or grab just one of them? Should I go back for the extra packs or ditch them? Do I really need all this gunpowder now? I know i'm going to need all these things at the end but i'm just having a really hard deciding what to leave behind.

Obviously some parts are different, but if you've played Claire A you should have no problem identifying the Claire specific parts. I think the only major change is, you will need to get the Diamond Key in the morgue, whereas Leon can skip it. You need the Diamond Key for one door in Claire B. Really just the parking garage segment is different for Claire. Check out the guide here:

I find Claire much easier, because the SMG makes short work of the bosses compared to Leon's weaponry. Hope the guide helps!

Many people will probably tell you to just ditch the even the SMG and use the knife (preferably infinite knife) as your boss-killing weapon if you get high framerate.

I skipped Grenade Launcher and Pouch in Armory. It saved me around 5-7 minutes plus several minutes for all flame grenades I skipped. Not so much...

Agreed on skipping the launcher; better to stash ammo for it the whole way along (recommend to ignore smg also and save your white gunpowder for acid rounds for G3). Since you can get the weapon in the Labs it's very useful to learn to run the whole game with just handgun until that point.

With this in mind, hand grenades become increasingly significant for boss fights, specifically G2 and G4. Regardless of your FPS i'd recommend to knife bosses whenever possible too for bonus damage and to save ammo (G1 you should knife hard from the very start of the fight until he stops being stunned).

Since it's Claire B specifically I'd also note that mastering the Quickdraw's unique firing style really helps, too. It's a great gun and very useful for fast aiming and firing, and fits a speedrun perfectly.

Let us know how you do?

Well, so far I'm down to 17 bullets with the revolver and 5 open spaces for anything else. I haven't picked up any herbs, 2 flashbangs and two grenades so far, i'm 28 minutes in and I'm already at sherry's part.

Don't stop moving, don't go back and forth between item boxes. If you know the route and you don't do large pointless detours during it, you can leave for the sewers before 1:10 with the SMG and grenade launcher, plus at least one of the two fanny packs in possession. It is the comfortable pace, speedrunners do it under half of that.

It is all about having the right route and not wasting time dancing around zombies but shooting them to flinch or in some cases burning them with the grenade launcher.
Also, the SMG is the ultimate zombie-avoider weapon, just shoot off one arm, then one leg.

I managed to get S+ in Claire B just skipping the locker hip pouch.

Didnt bother to upgrade SLS60.

Supressed SMG is great to delimb zombies without alerting Mr X.

I finally did it, within 1:35 minutes, with all the weapons and upgrades! Now for Claire A...
