But there are several sites that host the WinXP SourceNext port and English patches for it. You can also sometimes find CDs on eBay and similar sites. There is a patch to make that Win98 edition run on a modern OS.
However, all PC versions can only run in a window, in 800×600 resolution. If you have a 4k monitor, that means a tiny little smidge in the corner. No way around it.
Yeah the "Seamless HD" version of RE2 are most definitely going to be the best looking version of the original game you'll be able to find.
I just played through RE2 and RE3 "Seamless HD" and they way the games have been restored here is just a real treat.
The environments from the ps1 games have aged incredibly well and this HD upgrade really helps them to shine. If you are going to do it, I say this is 100% the best way to experience the games.
English versions of the game do exist and Dolphin can detect Xbox controllers, it is an emulator after all.
Wait, we’re not talking about the original ‘98 version of RE2?
Not saying any more than that because I don’t want to get banned for linking to piracy sites, even if the game we’re talking about is abandonware.
The gamecube version of RE2 is just a port of the PSX version different from the RE1 Remake and RE0
