Necromancy is also a sustainably viable way to mass-farm horrific amounts of blood, as chainsawing a giblet never seems to quite completely destroy it.

Vampirism needs a complete overhaul. Sorry to say that, but it is true. It's not a bad perk, but it is almost useless compared to others. That goes especially that you need a chainsaw and a lot of RNG to get the most blood from your enemies. 2-3pixels of blood should be enough to heal you decently, considering you lose a maximum amount of HP when you pick the perk up. I got nothing but trouble when using it.

Arguably, then, so does electricity/electric immunity, since they don't protect you from most electric-based attacks due to explosion damage. Or explosion immunity, for the inverse reason; elementally-aspected explosives still deal damage. Some of the best perks in the game are completely reliant on synergies for optimum performance. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, as it prevents getting a single perk from being an insta-win benchmark.

At least that one is FINE. You get one and it means using electricity isnt equivalent of committing suicide. Explosion dmg is no where near as bad as electrical.

The thing is, in my opinion so is vampirism. It's not as powerful as it could be, true enough - but if you pace your run, it's stupidly overpowered if you have the correct synergies. If you don't, it's almost useless - much like electricity without explosion immunity. Most of the enemies that use electricity in the game (yourself included) also include explosive damage, so all you're really protected from is the stun/water/metal damage from coming into contact with it. Still useful, but not really a cheese recipe without that synergy. Both of them together still aren't as powerful as vampirism can be with a chainsaw - to say nothing of necromancy, the more blood perk, and melee immunity rendering level difficulty totally irrelevant if you get any combination of three or more that includes them.

Bruh
My current run where I'm an interdimensional immortal vampire blood god says otherwise. :P
We're talking Blood Cloud and unlimited spells for infinite health. Oceans of blood.[cdn.discordapp.com]
Would be nice if the rate of drinking blood were improved though, it gets really tedious for high levels of HP, but maybe that is the price for immortality.

Taking the Vampirism perk multiple times ought to multiple how much HP you get back from blood

The best solution I've found is to have a wand with the spells death cross and heavy shot, a wand with Polymorph Projectiles, and a luminous drill wand.
Shooting the luminous drill wand inside the polymorph projectile field generates so many sheep[cdn.discordapp.com] so quickly you might brick your game.
When you use Death Cross modified with heavy shot on a corpse, it generates an insane[cdn.discordapp.com] amount of blood.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! :D
One more useful lesson learned : polymorph projectile field does not stop/polymorph projectiles which also cause polymorph

these are all good tips / possible ways. thank you :necroheart:
