Arguably, then, so does electricity/electric immunity, since they don't protect you from most electric-based attacks due to explosion damage. Or explosion immunity, for the inverse reason; elementally-aspected explosives still deal damage. Some of the best perks in the game are completely reliant on synergies for optimum performance. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, as it prevents getting a single perk from being an insta-win benchmark.

Would be nice if the rate of drinking blood were improved though, it gets really tedious for high levels of HP, but maybe that is the price for immortality.
