Or, if min/maxing makes you feel best, wait till your main crew are level 100 before recruiting additional crewmates.
I've heard it's LV60 at max but I could possibly be wrong?
yeah character mastery and exp is really the least of the players concern as far as grind goes, and sliming to max is hilariously nostalgic. The real grind starts with the forti crystals.
60 is indeed max.
I feel like these weren't here before proud difficulty. They also give a lot of money and some xp to the whole party.
there are 2 major spikes in unlocks
1 is finishing all of the main story and unlocking hard questboard stuff (level 45)
the other is finishing chapter 0 (level 60)
the main reason to wait is that unlocking charafcters late gives them A LOT more masteries baseline. And the mastery grind is pretty real.
On my way to mania i was barely able to max out offensive masteries on 1 character while screwing around with a couple of other chars along the way. Didnt do any grinding tho, only central stuff to unlock more stuff.
For perspective: A single lategame mastery node costs somewhere between 100 and 300 mastery.
