Graphics pixelated?
Hello I'm playing this game at 3440x1440 ultra wide with all the settings at highest, DLSS off (tried on too) but the game keeps looking blurry, like shaders not properly loaded?
The character models and stuff up close is fine but when you look around the building walls, the artwork, floor mats, etc looks pixelated, like dotted , any one know how to fix it?

It looks like this: look at the back wall: https://imgur.com/aURBRB9

Latest drivers installed, RTX2070 super with R7800X3D processor at 60-80 fps on DX12...

I'm playing this game on epic games

I am having the same exact issue on a 3070.. It is a texture loading issue and a lot of people have it. Nothing is working for me. A lot of people have claimed fixes involving mods but they don't work for me. It is honestly ruining the game for me..

The most consistent fix for this from what I have found is only playing is DX11 which completely eliminates ray tracing. The game is "optimized" for RTX cards but not really..

BTW I have spent 5-6 hours total researching this.

Spent more time trying to fix this than actually playing the game.

There's some good stuff on this page, too, depending on your setup. And it also reports (in May '23) that Control 2 is coming after Alan Wake 2.

I'm not sure, but it seems there is no pixelation. 4k with RT, without dlss

You see the textures in the distance; the wall, paintings etc loading in slow or at low resolution from a far.

^ Here's a funny comparison I took on my old pc. It doesn't happen on this machine.

It's because this is one of the first games with RT and there's a lot of noise in the implementation. If you have a (very) powerful rig you can install the mod that gives you native HDR and better texture streaming, it also includes an option to crank up the samples for ray tracing but it will absolutely slay your framerate
