The DLCs should be included with the ulimate edtion, they start with the missions "A Dark Place" and "The Foundation". The foundation starts when you finish the main story, A dark place starts earlier than that but still quite late in the game.

If you have the "ultimate" edition from humble bundle, the only way to get DLCs is to buy them on humble store: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/control-season-pass

You can buy the DLCs separately from a third party like Humble. If you buy Control Ultimate Edition as part of a dynamic bundle on Steam, you may fool it into giving you the DLCs. Both of those options are an older build of the game.

If you want actual Control Ultimate Edition, the new build of the game with DLCs, the only way have to remove what you currently have from your Steam account, and buy it again.

Does anybody perchance have a list of Steam sub ID(s) that correspond to the real "Ultimate Edition" (as opposed to the fake one that was sold on Humble Bundle)? I think I have it (I originally got the HB fake version, but I think I wound up picking up a new key for the real version later), but I'd like to check and be sure but I don't have the game installed (and don't have the disk space to install it at the moment).

Obviously I can look through SteamDB, but considering we've already encountered one deliberately-mislabeled version of the game, I'm not sure what I can trust. I guess what I'm asking for is an answer from someone who a) is 100% sure they have a real Ultimate Edition install, and b) knows enough about Steam internals to be able to suss out what sub ID(s) they have so I can cross-check them against my own list.

It's on the depots page for control.

Ultimate is 870781, standard is 870782. Both are sub ids to the base game id of 870780 which is why this whole problem exists.

Excellent, thanks for the tip. I did some poking around and found sub ID 275147 (which I own), and that appears to be the real deal since it contains the two DLCs. I couldn't find anything that specifically references "Expedition" in the subs, apps, or depot filenames, but I did find a couple of filenames with "photo_mode" in them. I guess that's probably the best I'm gonna get, unless 505 and/or Remedy suddenly show up in this thread to untangle the mess they made. :)

For anybody who doesn't quite follow the above, is curious, and has ArchiSteamFarm, you can run the following to see if you have the above sub on your account. If ASF says you own it, you should be good to go. If it says you don't...that might be a false negative 'cause you might have the full version via a different sub ID. Yeah, it's confusing and lame. Blame 505 and/or Remedy for being deliberately misleading during this entire process.

!owns ASF sub/275147

You can also tell both versions apart by the install size. Standard edition is like 6gb larger.

It isnt fake. It is the base game with the "wrong" name. Same story as Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive edition which also was sold by Humble store. Many people keep asking every day why they couldnt find the DLC.

Yeah, that's the part that's fake. :) It was (and still is) clearly labeled "Ultimate Edition" when it was (and still is) in fact just the base game. There was a whole kerfuffle at Humble Bundle at the time; I didn't get super involved in the drama 'cause I didn't base my purchase decision (of the bundle) on it, but it always did irk me that a) they lied about it in the first place, and b) left so many people confused as to how to get the extra content if they eventually wanted it, since you couldn't just go get it anywhere.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. That doesn't help me at the moment, since I don't have it installed, but that'll be a good thing to check when I do install it. I mean, I've seen signs of the DLC, I guess I'm just worried that the other two parts ("Expedition" and "photo mode") somehow won't be in there due to shenanigans. Mostly sure it'll be fine, but after the way they botched the release I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

Let me put on my "alternative facts" goggles and read that again.

Except that's accurate. Though the quotes should be removed.
