DLC in Ultimate Edition.

Sooo... I finally got to finish this game. I first got this game from the Humble Bundle, then it was turned into the ultimate edition, but for some reason, after finishing the game, none of the DLCs will start, and by now the dlcs were de-listed. What's going on? How can I play the DLC?

There was some hullabaloo with Steam keys from Humble, I think it's this:

"NOTE: When redeeming Control via Steam key, users may see Control Ultimate Edition in their Steam library and during installation. Please disregard the Ultimate Edition title as the Steam key will only grant Control Standard Edition."

In short, you have the base version of the game, not Ultimate.
I suppose for dlc you would have to buy the season pass from Humble.

Could I make a request to get this added? I mean, the chances of me going out of my way to buy the dlc are nil, and it wouldn't be worth much anyway. Where could I make such a request?

Yeah, I know its a long shot, but it has been years since this game has been launched with Alan Wake 2 coming soon.

Your best bet would be to buy the season pass on Humble

Bruh, this isn't a game that was released 20 years ago. The dlc is dirt cheap on sale.

Rather annoyingly the DLC Season pass stopped going on sale on HB. The last sale was for $5.99 during December of 2021, no sales since. Other store fronts don't sell Steam Keys and since Steam doesn't sell Steam keys either you don't have a lot of options.

Dude I still don't know. I've had "Ultimate Edition" in my library for years now, but I think this is WITHOUT DLC.

But now Ultimate Edition comes with DLC? What is this stupidity? New people get the DLC, but we don't, even though we got BAIT AND SWITCHED and paid for Ultimate Edition? What is this? Where is our compensation?

Even though I require everything to be on Steam, if you guys don't care about Steam, I think it would be morally correct to sail the seas and NOT support such terrible developers with their terrible, anti-consumer practices.

What happened was that people who'd bought Control on Steam Store automatically got all the DLCs for free, but those who got it from Humble were punished by being a denied a DLC that was no longer being sold on the Steam Store. The only place you can get the DLC is Humble. It's ridiculous.

Although we shouldn't have to buy the game for the second time, at least when you buy the women's day bundle it does in fact come with all DLC. I have less respect for this game's publisher as a result, but if you really do want those DLCs, now is the time. Even if it means buying the game again, the season pass on Humble's store is almost as expensive as this bundle which also includes several other games. So in this case, you should get the women's day bundle.

If you bought from the previous humble bundle, you never owned "ultimate". Steam simply mis-labeled it.

It looks like the current humble bundle is offering the ultimate version.
