"Kill everyone" tips/mods?

I really enjoyed letting Patient Zero's final mission just run it's course and then kill everyone, and want to play other maps with a kill everyone approach. But I find it hard to figure out the status as I go... How many guards remain, how many NPC total left...

Has anyone created any mods or tools to help play like this? Or created custom missions that either make everyone a target out of the box or do the infection thing like Haikido?
Or do I need to just count better as I go?

Why not just kill as you go? Anyway do you make it a challenge like you want to silently kill everyone unnoticed or are you just going around killing like a psycho.

It also probably won't work on a lot of maps with "fake" npcs.

Yeah. it can get crashy, but not too bad if you save often. It seems OK again after reloading a save.

I don't use mods for games. There's a lot of fun to be had with kill everyone challenges. In Miami I started with two briefcases of C4, then planted them in the massive crowd and blew them up simultaneously, then just started unloading on people. 10/10 would commit crimes against humanity again.

This has happened to me. It appears to be random though. Sometimes I could kill everyone, sometimes it would randomly crash.

I see H3 levels there. Doesn't that make the H1/H2 levels worthless in H2 if all of the contracts were designed for the H3 version?

Hitman 3 is coming out in a few days but I get your point. I found it online and remembered this post so I figured I might as well link it but yes I should have pointed out that it was for Hitman 3 although I figured it was obvious because of hitman 3 maps.

Well, there are contracts that have all kill challenges(as others have given ID's), as in every NPC is a target, but crowds are excluded as targets(you get non-target penalty from them). You get to kill everyone and net some hefty XP in the proces(like 15-20k).

As for tips, that's largely depended on a map. For example Sapienza and Marrakesh have nice vantage points for sniping and they're easy to defend. So my advice is that you take unsilenced sniper rifle, climb to the rooftops and start sniping targets at you leisure.

Why unsilenced? well, you want to be noticed. No seriously, you really want that. Civilians alert the guards and they'll come for you. Since they're also targets, you see them coming a mile away and you can deal with them as you like: snipe them as they come or just stay ready with your SMG or Pistol and kill them as they try to rush you from one entrance.
It's much easier to just lure them to kill zone than risk your neck to hunt them down.

Btw, you should choose your secondary weapon also according to the map you play. SMG's, Assault Rifles and shotguns are nice and all, but unfortunately all guards do not carry ammunition for them(Kinda weird that SMG's cannot use pistol ammunition). For example, "Landslide" guards don't pack anything than Bartolis, so if you bring any of the above you eventually run out of ammo and can't reload.

And let's face it: do you really want to clear the entire level just with Bartoli-pistol?
Yeah, I figured not. So "know thy enemy" and choose your arms accordingly. If you want my personal recommendation, ICA19 F/A (stealth is optional) is ol' reliable for these situations. It uses pistol ammo, so you shouldn't be running out of ammo anytime soon, bartolis and HKW21's are pretty common.

Also, you might want to look into either bringing knife with you or using one you can find on the level, if you care about your mission score. While NPC's are fair game in these contracts, Crowds still lower your score because killing them counts as "Non-target killed"(I don't know if Crowds can be actually painted as targets...I don't think they can, but I haven't ever created a contract). They also die easier than normal NPC's so if any of your targets run middle of them you might just accidentally mow down half a dozen.
