I also believe its bunk that I am hiding behind a wall, all the way across the map, shooting between tree limbs, and nail some dude... and his body guards instantly turn my direction and just firing random shots at me.
I guess those body guards are equiped with bio-ballistic-forensics modules that lets them instanly calculate the trajectory when they 'see' the target getting hit with a bullet.
If you manage to make the guards look AWAY from the target... then you are TOTALLY FINE !! LOL.
The game MAY have some issues with spotting and snipers but it's mostly working as intended.
True, they just seem awefully accurate and 'spot' me nigh instantly (it seems? or maybe its all for show and they have not).
Generally I just restart the whole mission when they open fire thinking i've blown the gig and just need to do it better.
this doesnt work, I tested it, in the Ark society, if you choose the keep starting position, you can get one of the sisters in first five seconds... I hit the ground, so all people look away and shot the sister, then I went downstairs in the bathroom to to hide in the hiding spot and guards rushed right there checking around the spot in bathroom, not on the top of tower, where I shot from
That's why I said there may be some issues. I've encountered them myself only a couple of times. But most times, if I'm getting spotted, it kinda makes sense that they saw where I was shooting from and found me and I can avoid it thought reloading.
But being fired at doesn't mean you are spotted necessarily. I can snipe from the church in Sapeinza, get 2 loads of guards shooting at me and still get away and be never spotted.
This one annoyed me... as the only good 'hiding spot' (i thought) was hanging off the tower ledge behind one of the stone walls (so your hands are hidden)... one would think. Doing that, they ran up the tower and instantly saw 'my hands?' through the block wall, and began firing at me. I then noticed a 'pipe' on the other side, which you can shimmy down a few feet and THEN they dont see you.
Some issues here and there yeah. Once you figure them out, then a level is doable. Just gets a bit awkward at times.
Yup. What I was just about to post. No matter the volume, guards and enforcers will shoot towards and investigate the apparent location of the shooter. Supressed sniper only delays that factor and, as said previously, does not alert nearby NPCs.
Moving-even slightly- out of the area you shot from is only logical. The view cones (if that's how the game handles enemy vision) work outside of visible level architecture, though. Dropping out of sight or putting the rifle back into the case adds extra insurance to your unnoticed escape from the area.
Not necessarily.
