Questions about keyboard controls
Hi, I may be missing something obvious here but it's been a while since I played Hitman and I am a bit baffled by the keyboad controls. I thought there was a way to fast-swap between weapons but the only way I can change weapons/equipment is via several steps using the inventory menu. There appears to be no "quick inventory" function. Can anyone using m/kb clarify this for me? Many thanks.

There is inventory (then rotate) or there is holster

Look through the keymapping (I think the defaults are i and mouse 3)

Personally I move inventory to tab and holster to caps lock (which means moving whatever was on caps lock, but then I moved a bunch of things to be more like season 1s map, well, other than inventory ~ that's the one thing i had to move in the previous game too, its stupid to be on i)

Thank you. But there is no shortcut using number keys to quick-select items, right?

Sadly not :(

Funny that some official documentation -- an online manual of sorts, here (http://vztimg.exent.com/Prem/products/202750/manual.pdf) indicates a "proper", fully-developed item selection control scheme for PC. Still, this is not the first such kludge for PC users with games that were designed for consoles.

Is there a way to select an item from your inventory without unholstering it?

Actually I prefer the current design, since choosing weapons doesn't move time forward.

If you just need to drop it you can drop it straight from inventory, otherwise no, but then again you don't need to since opening inventory pauses the game, the moment you need something equipped just ineventory, select it and its out

Put inventory on tab and just holster the item after you no longer need it (i have holster on caps lock so it's a quick hit for either)
