At the very least you can buy PLEX that way. I have a suspicion that subscriptions can't be managed that way.

turns out i prob can. i did a test on a few games to see if i got the same results as i did with trying to buy the sub, and its because i dont have enough wallet funds

first of all, you are logging in to the eve site through your steam account, so i think you can just add gametime there......

otherwise, you can by a subscription in the steamstore too"as DLC" and like that you can upgrade, subscribe longer, for sure. ( dont know if that steam sub system only can be done with a CC)

btw, eve was always really easy with payment options, i could even subscribe with Ideal and such, on their own site. (atleast thats with their own version ofthe game, i dont think it will be much different)

But as far for steam, i think you can just subscribe more days at the store page here on steam, it says "14,95€ at checkout, auto-renewed every 1 month(s) at 14,95€ as determined by your game account."

so i guess the payment will just be taken from your wallet as long its possible, otherwise, i bet you can just get a extra month through the eve site "with logging in with your steam account option"

otherwise, CCP takes ALOT of other different payment methods beside CC, i hate CC too, and never play games that ONLY use CC, thats a pity for them, i bet im not alone, there are a gazillion "better" alternative options available.

Creditcards are a scam, poorly secured, and people pay to make up for the poor security, its a ancient payment menthod from the 1900s they should ban immediately ...

ye me too, otherwise , since im not willing to use my CC, this game wont be played naymore after a month by me :D

nah, since you can login to the eve site with your steam account, im not afraid that as a alternative to the store sub, i can still buy with my ideal, or some other payment method, like paypal.

try to login on the eve site with the steam button, then it will just say user : 1011909 or somethign liek that, so you have the same option, with api and such, then the normal eve player. including with the "add gametime" button on your account page, havent clikced it yet, but i guess its the same as the "old" pay system. ( or it will direct you to your steam wallet even)

games like marvel heroes/uncharted waters online, both micro transaction mmo's work like that too, they just link you to the steam wallet when you want to pay stuff ( in the ingame store), while when youre playing the game not via steam, you would needed to give up a paypal account, or even CC details.

I tried to use my steam wallet fund for a sub too, but it wouldnt allow me.

When i logged into the account management via steam login, I found a paypal method for subscription.

I wouldnt use PLEX since its almost twice as much as a normal paid month, guess plex is something you'd buy if you wnated to sell it ingame for cash.

so you tried both options ?

hmmm, weird, dont know if its not working properly or if its intended, but with the "normal" eve client, you can just buy months, without having to use any paypal or CC subscription, you could just buy one or 3 months gametime with ideal, paypal, paybycash and sorts.. so just seperate months.

hmm, well, if they dont fix it, i guess it will be a short journey for me : '(

wow youre right, checked it out now, the steam subscription, you can only use CC >.> wtf, and no steam wallet..

but you can, login on their site, and just pay like you did the "old way" just buy one month, with ideal, paypal, paysafecard, webmoney, and such...

damn, this isnt what i exactly call integration in steam, thats just ripping people off by letting them buy plexes, if theyre used on using steam.

you can still buy from their site ofcourse, but i added more money to my wallet, cause i thought i could just buy a month here on steam, justl ike you can on the eve site. but it seems steam only wants subs through creditcards, you know ??? that ancient paying system from the 90s, thats so full of security problems, that visa just accepts that a set amount of cash is scammed from people every year, and other people need to compensate for that.

visa, most unsecure way of paying on the internet...... toobad companies are not willing to stop using the old same payment model, just like the music and movie companies, theyre not adepting, they arej ust trying to keep the same methods of earning they are used to.

its prob because your wallet doesnt have enough funds. mine has $0

I am assuming that if we have no funds in our wallet, it automatically goes to paypal. i tested it on a bunch of different games also to make sure it wasnt just eve

nope, i have 20 euros in my wallet, and it still directs me to the only payment options of visa, mastercard, and all those other scam CC companys :D:D

like i said, i have deposited more cash in my wallet, just to buy more gametime, but it seems if i want to use my cash i need to pay 4.95 more now, or just buy some other game :D

the thing is, steam treats it like a recurring payment, while on the eve site oyu can just buy one month gametime, so steam sucks again at doing their job, by integrating it in the WRONG way.

i think im gonna make a support case about it, yet to receive a automated response in two weeks, about a problem i didnt even mention. sigh, long live steam, they are trying really hard to make this fanboi angry hahah

ye you can use your wallet, to buy a plex, but i have 20.65 in my wallet, and it directs me to the checkout page, with only creditcard options.

you can buy gametime with your wallet yes, but only plexes (ccp didnt lie there :D ), i guess since steam wants 30% too, eve doesnt want to give gametimes away for 14.95, only when they can sell you CC info to some nigerian scammers, to make up for the 4.95 you pay less( or something ) ...

haha
