Price increase
For those who have not seen the announcement....
The price for Below Zero will be increasing from $19.99 to $29.99 US upon launch in early 2021.
Buy it now if you want the early access price.

Edit: Also, Subnautica will be increased from $24.99 to $29.99.

I'm not saying the price doesn't match the game but the game doesn't match the price.

pretty sure I payed £20 for both games. if the next update fixes the stuttering issue in subnautica then it would be worth £25-£30 I think, but BZ is a glorified expansion, and doesn't even do that right.

Seems like this part of the community is taking this price increase "very well".

IMHO, I do think both SN and BZ deserve their price increase. Both are very well crafted games.

I can agree with you that subnautica is a well crafted game. But maybe i'm jaded about BZ with all that lost potential as it is pretty much finished. Small updates won't fix any of it's core issues.

I hate to disagree, but Below Zero was made just as well as the first game.

strongly disagree and hate nothing about it, but this argument has been hashed out a thousand and one times by now so enjoy yourself, I'm still holding out to hear about a proper successor to subnautica, spiritual or otherwise.

That's cool. But devs said that if BZ does well, they'll consider making another SN game.

An increase in prize would seem to suggest an increase in quality.

This part of the community feels like the quality of the game has dropped so it's a bit insulting to see the price increase as the quality drops. That's why we are poking fun at it.

I've poked my head back on the Subnautica forums, the "performance update" seems to have broken the game for many people, the bugs section is lit up like a Christmas tree over there. So maybe once they fix the bugs in Subnautica and polish Below Zero it might earn that price tag.

To be fair, I got both games for $20, so the price increase doesn't affect me.

But to be just as fair, I'm still gonna point out and smirk at what I pierceive to be irony.

Slicey's a pretty cool fellow, he should be the last person any one feels uppity about discussing their opinion with =)

You can trust him to be sincere with what he says.

The "Very Well" part was sarcasm for those who didn't understand it. I just feel like I needed to say that.

A price increase? Well, inflation happens and stuff that cost $300 3 years ago now costs $500. It is still a good bang for the buck tho, especially compared to $100 pixel addons in other games.

Sorry for the bad English, the price of 29.99 and for those who have to buy the game, not for those who bought it with early access. ( The price increase will not affect any previously purchased copies of Below Zero, and Early Access purchasers will receive the 1.0 release, as well as all future patches )

Just as a small correction - we don't know the launch date. The price increase could be happening in advance of the launch.

Having the same price tag on SN and BZ does not sit well with me. I have both games in my library already so the change won't affect me, but the two games are just too different to warrant the same price.
