Is the Indian PDA permanent?

I feel, along with many people, that the Indian PDA kind of ruins immersion, as sometimes the PDA doesn't pronounce stuff properly. Is this a temporary fix, or permanent?

Nothing racist about not liking a certain voice accent and it looks to be permanent at the moment, but someone will probably make a mod to replace it with the original.

Yea the PDA is hard to understand and I honestly just ignore everything it says.

Also on a side note I wish people would just stop bringing up race, like seriously half the subjects have nothing to do with race and people keep mentioning it.

There's many ways of starting a sentence.
"I am not a (something), but..." generally is a terrible one. Whatever 'something' is, the next words tend to be damning.
'I am not a wife beater, but...'.
'I am not a drug addict, but ...'
'I am not a shoplifter, but...'.

For one thing, it brings the focus and attention to the thing you do NOT want to be associated with. Instead of protecting from an association, it draws attention to it.

Just don't.

Then don't call it the "Indian PDA". Just write "I find it hard to understand what the PDA says - a problem I did not have in the first game". That perfectly describes the problem.

I don't know why they even changed the PDA voice. The first game's PDA voice was perfect. Changing it to an Indian voice was completely unnecessary and just feels like it was done for "representation" more than anything.

Who's idea was this? AI should not have an accent it is illogical.
I can't play the game with voice volume because of it.
Now I have to either wait till a mod comes along to remove or replace it or keep playing with Voice Volume set to 0%.

All voices have an accent, even robot voices, though I agree, the PDA's accent should be more easily understood.

I've done three full playthroughs since the PDA voice was changed - including a playthrough after the latest update that allegedly made some PDA lines easier to understand - and there are STILL words I don't understand.

One line in particular - when you first encounter the wrecks - I listened to it repeatedly while putting together a YT video and still have no idea what she's saying.
