sea truck is too slow
too slow, I've spent the whole morning and part of the afternoon traveling, I can go much faster swimming ... can't find the upgrade to increase the speed ... but it's still too slow

I think it was pretty obviously done because of pop-in but it's a real bummer. I like the concept a lot but like, let me speed it up. Horse power upgrade only increases speed if you have 1 or more modules. It doesn't speed up the truck on it's own. Big bummer.

Is there a way to increase the speed of the sea truck from the console? I almost fell asleep, literally, I almost fell asleep trying to move forward with this thing. It's too slow, tedious, you feel like you're wasting your time.

Use the “speed” commands

the afterburner and horsepower upgrade is great additions to help the speed of the seatruck but the control and effectivness of those upgrades dont justify using it. its still clunky, hits everything it comes near, the boost will keep going even if youve crashed to just crash you some more?, the modules you spend your precious materials on only slow you down for what you can consider minor advantages that are useless without an effective means or transporting it. what good is a fabricator if i cant bring it down below with me, whats the point of a teleporter if it has to be connected at all times and uses the already scarse amount of ion cubes, the very same ion cubes you need to make ion power cells to acctually use the sea trucks after burner upgrade effectivly. Half the time my fully upgraded and full modulled sea truck stays at base while my prawn suit is my only effective vehicle, which kinda sucks coz that sea truck looks awesome and id love to take the thing everywhere with me and love it as much if not more than the cyclops but unfortunatly its so silly to use that it wastes time and resourses to make. looks cool though.

Unfortunately, the game is not coop or multiplayer, therefore it is a single player, we do not have to compete against other players choosing the wagons strategically. Just let us enjoy the original idea, a shelter or mobile base with all the comforts and features, it's more fun

And now imagine what it is like if you don't like the look (and sound) of the truck. That's me.

Yeah, it seems the speed boosters really help, at least for me. otherwise its just :steambored: and not worth it.

I'm kinda torn. When I want to drive from the Liliypads to the Glacial Basin it is slow, but when I'm down in the tunnels and fissures it is pretty fast. But it is too loud everywhere.

For such small map as in BZ seatruck speed is enough. In original game we could travel to 2-3 km from the base. In NZ there are no distances more then 1-1.5 km.

Again: edit config or use mods, problem solved.

And to be honest, you don't need the sleeper nor the aquarium. That makes 2 modules less, resulting in more speed anyways. <shrugs>
