Seatruck question: Modules, depths and distances
Hey there, quick question that i didn't really realise i'd need to ask today, but hey, here goes:
Do seatruck modules keep the "enchancements" and paintjob from the cabin they were last attached to regardless of distance, or is there a certain length after wich they deactivate and the vehicule starts getting crushed by the depths ? i'd rather not find out the hard way as i'm 560m down and i don't want to lose all my modules to something like that.

Yay, a new research project. Here are my findings:

Test 1 - detached module

I took a seatruck with a storage module (without depth modules) to a depth of 160m, detached the module, and raised the cabin to be at 140m. The storage module was sitting at 160m without being destroyed. After a few minutes I took the cabin down to 160m again and the cabin immediately started taking damage. Eventually it imploded, but the storage module was still there, undamaged.

Test 2 - attached module

I took a seatruck with a storage module (without depth modules) to a depth of 160m. This time I kept an eye on the orange health bars while piloting. The cabin's health bar went down but the module's health bar stayed the same. Eventually the cabin imploded, but the storage module was still there, undamaged.

My conclusion

It seems like seatruck modules can't be crushed by depth pressure, regardless of whether they are attached to a cabin.

(Please note that I'm not making any claims about modules being immune to creature attacks. I was only looking at depth pressure.)

The second question: If you have a red seatuck an a blue seatruck. What color are the attached modules if you swap from one to the other?
My hypothesis is that they acquire the color of the cab they are attached to at the moment and stay that color until attached to a different truck cab.
But it will be a while until I test that because I don't want to make a second truck at this stage of my current game.

Save, build a second one and start testing, once finished just reload... ^^

That is pretty neat.
