But seriously, why are you using it? Bases create their own O2 and there are much more efficient ways to go deeper if you're running out of air.
I guess you mean the floating air-pump is bugged. reason i was trying to use it, is because if i build a base 200 metres down i don;t think the solar power panel will work so the base wouldnt have oxygen. I weas thinking of just getting a pipe down there
The nuclear power plant is in the game now, find it, scan it and build one of those instead.
You can even find some fully-powered nuclear fuel rods on one of the wrecked ship pieces.
Ah im sorry, i havent expressed myself well. All i wanted to do was leave a floating pump on the surface and connect a long pipe down, i didnt want to build any base at all. The floating pump simply doesn't float as it should.
