The floating air pump won't float
Hello,

I made a floating air-pump, i put it to the task bar and try to deploy it, but the only option is to right-click and drop it. On dropping it, it just sinks. What am i doing wrong please?

But seriously, why are you using it? Bases create their own O2 and there are much more efficient ways to go deeper if you're running out of air.

I guess you mean the floating air-pump is bugged. reason i was trying to use it, is because if i build a base 200 metres down i don;t think the solar power panel will work so the base wouldnt have oxygen. I weas thinking of just getting a pipe down there

You can't connect the pipe to the base so you'd have to exit the base to breathe from the pipe.

The nuclear power plant is in the game now, find it, scan it and build one of those instead.

You can even find some fully-powered nuclear fuel rods on one of the wrecked ship pieces.

Ah im sorry, i havent expressed myself well. All i wanted to do was leave a floating pump on the surface and connect a long pipe down, i didnt want to build any base at all. The floating pump simply doesn't float as it should.

I found out what i was doing wrong, for anyone who has been as silly as me, don't swim to the very top of the water so you're half out the water, and let the pump drop, you have to be actually under the water near the surface, you activate it then and it will float out away from you, up to the water's surface.

Cheers Mano, and it's useful near the start before you can build bases to get the deep goodies.
