Personally, I like that there's no map. And, of course, If there was a map, I'd use it. Which would make the game less fun in my opinion.
I like that. exploring wrecks really messes with your orientation. that feeling of frantically wondering where you are as you slowly run out of air.
People who want a map can add it themselves with about six clicks of the mouse.
They use their memory and skills to find their way
wow. Nazis play a stoner game like subnautica too. lmao.
if there's a mod for something, that means the game lacks something that players want and use. which is easier; 1) install a map mod or 2) for "real subnauticans" to just not use the map like some survivalist starting a fire with sticks next to a 7-11 (cause that's what real men do, right?).
Map isn't gonna take away anything but it will add greater feel of the world we explore.
The game lacks a feature that only some players want.
I would say its easier for you personally to get a mod then for the developers to add one to the base game.
