Can't get the repair tool

Ive tried getting the repair tool but the blueprint doesn't show up so I can't craft it or anything. I'm at the part where I send my sample to the rocket but I can't seem to get the blueprint or anything

you need to find another site, it was not far of that island whee I found mine in drop site, it was called cargo rocket for me.

start a new save yours must be bugged to all hell because I didn't have to do anything to get my repair tool blueprint.

I believe it shows up in one of the equipment drops after leaving the underwater alien area.

Did you figure this out? Im having the same issue. the repair tool also will not work as a console command.

Strange, I remember always having it ready to craft before going to the cargo rocket.
Did you checked all cargo drops (container)?

Ok I checked the commands:

unlock Repair Tool blueprint

unlock welder

put a Repair Tool into inventory

item welder

The repair tool wasn't in my starting fabricator list but it unlocked for me after I had made the first oxygen tank. Not sure if this will make a difference but I had also already fabricated the scanner and knife before i made the tank.

edit : I had not yet visited any other sites and hadn't travelled that far from the emergency habitat so it appears to be unlocked from crafting not other locations

when i first started out i went into the deeper twisty bridges and avoided a crashfish, went back and collected crystallized sulfur. before that point i had no access to the repair tool. when i went back i only need titanium and copper and there it is as large as life.
