better ways to get titanium?

are there any better ways then smashing rocks? like the normal subnautica had the metal salvage

You can mine titanium in Glacial Basin area, but you need the prawn suit for that. Currently, the only other way to get titanium is smashing rocks and scanning duplicate fragments.

^This is a very good source of titanium in the early biomes - there are plenty of mobile vehicle bay, seaglide, gravtrap and seatruck fragments lying around and you get 2x titanium from scanning something you already have the blueprint for.

get your prawn suit and roll up on the mine (actually you get the suit in the mine). you get the jump boost in an air drop so if you can get there you can get all the titanium you've ever dreamed of... but lets not talk of lithium >_>

how often are airdrops? i've been playing for 9-10 hours now and haven't received a single one yet.

in stable, when you scan precursor items u get an air drop every 3rd or 4th scanned item. u also get something for completing story objectives. the first item you scan grants you the first air drop. BTW i was mistaken about the prawn suit jump boost its in the mine with the prawn suit fragments

In latest experimental. Thermal generator parts are littered in the thermal spires. That is a good source of titanium in one area. Than the ones in the minning site. Which also got more ore veins to mine. There's no feeling of shortage of ores anymore.
