I want to throw them $20 if it means they'll make a sequel, but no multiplayer hurts.
I've been watching videos of multiplayer on the Xbox One version of the game. Honestly, it's a shame it's been cut but it doesn't ruin the entire experience. This was always a solo experience
Steam makes 30% off of all sales on it's platform. That is far more revenue than the Xbox generates for Microsoft. They could have had the most succesful console on the planet and they could control the entire PC ecostructure for games and be the most profiatable gaming company in the world. Instead they are loosing market share year after year. The people running their gaming division need to be fired and replaced with fresh faces and fresh ideas. This cannot happen soon enough.
1: The developers haven't stated that if they sell enough, they'll add it in. If they did, I'd be on board with the way things are going.
2: Do not seriously compare a $20 PC port of a 4 year old game that I not only played, but also LOVED playing multiplayer on, to a $60 new release that's (currently) console exclusive. That's not apples to oranges, that's apples to helicopters.
Dude the multiplayer was literally just a tacked on horde mode, it wasn't even open world.
Doesn't matter. Horde mode is better than no multiplayer.
If you've never played this game, it's absolutely still worth the 20 bucks (even less over at GMG) as a single player experience. Believe me. You're only missing out on the multiplayer if you got to experience it before but it's hardly a dealbreaker when the game is as cheap as it is and as fun as it is.
Either way its really cool to see people finally being able to play a criminaly underrated game finally.
IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED THE SINGLE PLAYER PORTION OF THE GAME I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT TO YOU !
How's multiplayer in SOD supposed to be, by the way? Is it drop-in-drop-out and you get to explore the open world with other players, or is it restricted to missions? Or is it a separate mode?
