Suggestions for Devs
I've become so obsessed with this game that it's almost like *I* joined a cult. That said I have some suggestions for UI improvements and possible new content

1. It would be nice to get some higher speed settings. At times the game just seems like its dragging even at the highest setting

2. The tutorial should be clearer about the fact that you need to acquire objects from missions if you want to raise prestige above a certain value. That wasn't clear at first

3. Currently, if I have an object already on the ground that can be placed on a table and I want to put a table under it, I have to move the object, place the table, and then move the object back. It would be nice if we could place the table directly under it instead.

4. If I manually assign a cultist to a job they should not automatically cancel it if it's not one of their priority jobs. It's fine if the cancel it if I've set them to ignore it, but not for them to cancel it when it's on default priority as they often do

5. It would be nice if we could get edge of map scrolling

6. It would be nice if we could toggle off the autopause after the sermon

7. Clearer/more immediate indication of if a given cultist is supposed to be on break currently so we don't accidentally interrupt them during early game when breaks are super important

8. If I select a follower from the follower menu and then press escape, it should close the follower menu rather than unselecting the follower (or alternately, this behavior could be toggleable)

9. Other possible divine inspiration themes: Good, Order, and Chaos (to complete the cliche fantasy alignment grid), Even more Cthulhu, Ufos, New age/hippie weirdness, Doomsday Prepping, Hollow Earth, The four elements, Nature, The Singularity/mad science, Conspiracy Theories/Illuminati/New World Order/Masons, Generic abrahamic fundamentalists, Lizardmen, Communism (cf. Jim Jones), the Knights Templar

10. Some of the possible spread darkness mission descriptions should involve cliches like heavy metal music, violent videogames, or knockoffs of D&D and Harry Potter

11. Objects should have wacky descriptions

12. I bet you could set up some kind cross promotional deal with the SubGenius Foundation (another parody of weird cults) (edit: or cross-promotion with the makers of Postal 4, as their previous game (and the movie based on it) memorably ended with a shootout in a cult compound)

13. It would be nice if there were unlimited save slots

14. It would be nice if the mission screen showed the quality of cultists so you can preferentially send off the crappier members if they'll do

15. It would also be nice if the mission screen showed which cultists, if any, have special mission related abilities (such as Outstanding Motivation)

16. A fourth priority level would be extremely helpful (ie a setting between "low priority" and "high priority")

17. The follower selection screen for the sacrificial pit should show the followers' quality and traits (if they've been revealed)

18. It should be possible to toggle rooms off, as per Proteus' suggestion (https://steamcommunity.com/app/841190/discussions/0/5704366794237668795/)

19. You should be able to set the recruiter to lure people (including protesters) in off the street to be sacrificed instead of recruiting new followers

20. Really big Police raids should have a risk of the compound catching fire (cf. The Waco siege, the MOVE siege, etc)

21. The method for switching to the darkness sermon should be clearer

22. A help screen would be nice to have

23. Suggestion for unlockable darkness special character: A guy named "Stan" who is clearly Satan (but a different design than the other demon guy; I'm thinking shorter horns, wings, etc)

24. Cannibalism should be a food option

25. The tooltips for rec room objects should show what kind of entertainment they provide

26. That cage on a winch thingy from Temple of Doom as an optional decor item in the Sacrificial Pit

27. One of the preset cults should be worm themed. Both as a Team17 reference, and as a reference to God Emperor of Dune.

28. You should be able to run an unlicensed for-profit hospital out of the infirmary

29. The research screen should show what the current research is without me having to scroll over and find it

30. You should be able to sacrifice and contract followers from the follower screen

31. Perhaps if you assign a follower to an unmanned room it should automatically assign an idle or nearby cultist to man the room

32. It would be cool if you could force people to fight to the death

33. How about a module or special room that will either upgrade a follower's quality or kill them, 50/50 chance of each

34. It should be possible to lock doors, both to keep people out of rooms and to keep them in

35. We ought to be able to zoom out just a little bit further, far enough to see the whole compound

36. The cultist screen should show traits, not just moods

37. We need a toggleable map grid, as suggested below by Veska

38. Sex and drugs, possibly in a DLC if you're worried about keeping your rating

39. You should be able to send followers to the contract room or the sacrificial pit directly from the follower screen and/or from each specific follower's description page

40. A room's menu should have a button to summon the leader to do a room buff

41. Similarly, a cultist's sidebar should contain a button to summon the leader to mood boost them

42. The tooltip for PR should list the cutoffs for different follower qualities

43. Unlockable Pinhead hair/hat for leader

16: Personally, I'd like to see 8 priority levels (0 - 7). That would help with all the different therapy rooms.

18: It's not a toggle as such, but you can de-zone a room and then re-zone it when you need it.

It would be nice to be able to link bathrooms to bedrooms, so that only the owner of that bedroom uses the connected bathroom.

I'd love a 1x1 grid on the map when using the build/objects menus, to help get a better feel of the rooms I'm laying out.
