The game gets boring verry quick
So the case of this game, is that it was fun the first hours. Until half way into the tech tree. You have unlocked it all. Then its a case of waiting for upgrades. Upgrades does not change anything tbh. Just getting bigger. This is a problem i see for the game now. I just sit and wait for research that does not do anything at this point, or notice changes.

The thing is this game is built for hard to easy in mechanics. It starts hard at start for 1 hour, to get easy after that.

So when you have hit easy in the first upgrade, the game dies abit. There is no management other then order food. Missions i skipped after a while. They dont have a meaning. I do one, every 7 days to reduce heat.

I dont have any struggle at all. Its just a waiting game now. This is where many games fail right now. From beeing a good game. Im not here to play a game to get bored at the end.

After 3-4 hours.. You have seen it all. It does not engage me to even continue to research the final tech. When you have unlocked the fun part to look at. There is nothing more to look at. There are no scenematics. story or anything. I bet when i have gotten it all. Nothing will happen either. Just sit there and look at the same screen you have looked at for 10 hours ago.

The game need to evolve after the mid tier of the game. Something to engage the player to play the game. So i could pretty much, as i did at the end here. Lay on the sofa, watching a movie.. pressing esc to end the report of the day.. Wait for research to get done, and wait for resources. That is how much the game is now, and how much engage i am, that i have to watch a movie, so i dont fall a sleep of waiting time.

I loved the game at the start, where the content was. But it died verry fast.

How ever i belive, what can save the game at that point, is maby events. Maby a fire appare. Maby some cutscenes of silly animation in progress. Maby something like what you belive in, like a moonman or santa.. That a event around that happen.. something like a mystery event. Metor falls down, i dont know.. something.. just add more stuff. So the player can have some fun while waiting the game out. Add some problem solving.

I agree with you completely, but to be fair with the devs the game is in early access. I imagine we'll be getting more mid/late game content as development continues :)

Yes, but its been a common issue in many games. Even full version games. So i would raid awareness to it in this post. I also know, Team17 looks into posts. They are good with the community.

The roadmap at least shows they are planning to add more content. It's always good to make suggestions, though. I'd like to see more events, too.

I played 2.7 hours and I feel like I saw it all, I honestly doubt that what is listed in the roadmap will manage to keep the interest.
It's a good idea but needs more layers, more things to do and take care of, maybe add also an actual economic system in which items has to be sold in stores all over the city, handled by our trained adepts to people that we actually "converted", items created "by adepts for adepts".
At the end of the day we want their mind to get to their wallets, if that's the goal then a lot can be done and should be done. Thank you. :)

I dont think its enough either. Missions are sub content that you usaly avoid. skins does not count as content in my eyes. Events, depends on what it is. Game need more depth.

So i had to bring it up.

I have been playing now for over 12 hours, i feel the same, it gets repeative.
Great base, but just feel like it's just another game in the genre,

The random / scripted events refresh it though.
Played prior the XMas Update or the Halloween Update 2021.

Significant improvements have been made.
This time I will probably do Cuthulu long before going the full tech tree...

Note: I feel that NOT having an upgrade for the research lab is a reason that this falls behind DI and other rooms. Maybe just allow a 2nd follower work ... or make the "super computer" the upgrade that gives 20% faster research or so.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new features that the developers are adding from their Early Access Roadmap! I'll pass on your feedback about research room upgrades.
