Nothing seems to work

I have played or tried several different relaxing building games, but this one has some of the best story line quests and graphics of any game, So why dont more people play it?? So I'm looking specifically robots area of effect. They show the 2d area of effect on where they will harvest.. so if I wanted to could I make a stack of say chicken coops stacked on top of eachother through the sky, would it haven't them all or only so many? It's unclear how the harvest area is effected vertically. I would love some input I'm trying to maximize outputs...
