Necesse is one of those games that makes me wonder why it took me so long to try it.

It has everything I love in a game: that classic “get stick, craft axe” loop of gathering resources, crafting tools and furniture, building up a home base, managing a little settlement, and venturing into dark caves full of zombies, giant spiders, and other good old-fashioned threats.

I'm only just getting started and I hope Necesse will turn out to be one of those games I keep returning to. I generally don't like saying "this game is like-" but in this case, I have to: Necesse is like the gorgeous love child of Minecraft, RimWorld, Forager and Terraria. Those are games that each captivated my heart and brain, and Necesse is no different.
