Do New Jericho Havens' Satellite Uplink do anything?
The New Jericho havens have been building Satellite Uplinks. But unlike the Synedrion's Mist Repellers, there's no visual circle for it. Will those Satellite Uplinks help me discover Pandoran Nests?

Also, do the Anu build anything?

They are the only faction to build Fungal Farms and produce a steady supply of food, so their people don't starve as quick as other factions.

I think mostly re-runs of Seinfeld and Friends...

Actually it's a good question, and I've wondered too if not just flavour text.

The uplinks allow NJ to attack Pandoran Colonies.

Anu build Missionary Centers that drain population from other havens.

Synedrion is Mist Repellers.

Oh, that reminded me of seeing that once! I joined 3 NJ Heavy troopers on a Lair mission once. Cool concept and was fun to see.

Unfortunately they mostly just stood off to the side on a hill and didn't contribute much, but the game's AI has always been poor for allied units.

The other stated effect of NJ uplinks is increasing that haven's operating range, which increases the defense-point value of their havens within that range.
Think it also has an effect on how much food is available in either that haven or the nearby ones. But that part's kind of almost irrelevant.

My experience with allies includes them wandering over multiple times and healing my guys. Can't remember which faction (s) it was, though.
You know, I was really pissed at Anu for just stealing population instead of doing something useful with their endgame building, like Synedrion or Jericho do. But now that I think about it, Anu are also the only ones able to grow food in non-dedicated havens, huh. Guess stealing people from starving havens is somewhat useful.

So send over one of your own soldiers and take control of them. Even if the AI is a bit weak in terms of making them do much, it is still 3 extra soldiers available to you on the mission.

I'd been playing for hours and wanted to limit how many soldiers I had to move to evacuation on the Lair mission :p

So you hang some of your own soldiers back and use the NJ solders as cannon fodder.

Certainly in this scenario you use the NJ Heavies to jetpack towards the spawner, get them to take out the egg sacks while the rest of your squad returns close to the mission spawn waiting to evacuate once the spawner has bleed out.

You've entirely missed the point Mr Knee.

It would have been enjoyable to experience a co-op Player/PC vs environment moment.

As for your tactical advice, you've not even considered what key information you lack before becoming oddly insistent on your way of doing things. I had high level soldiers that were capable of completing the mission in mere turns.

Yes, the AI in vanilla was famously obsessed with healing your team! It was always an annoyance for people who ran Berserkers and would lose their buffs in haven missions.

The code has been altered somewhat in TFTV, and all the heals I've experienced from allied AI have been good ones.
